Great!

I wanted this as a preamp that added genuine valve warmth and distortion before going directly into the PA. The Vox MV50 really fits the bill. I have already successfully used it on a gig. It is easy to use and I have even used it with my electro-acoustic guitar.

After having my amp go on the fritz again i couldn't see getting it repaired and having to wait 6 weeks again. I started looking around, i wanted tube, but modelling amps aren't my thing so i came across this and figured my speaker and cab are fine so why not. It costs just a little more than the last repair i had on my amp. Someone reviewed it as a one trick pony and granted it only has volume gain and tone but wow. This is a one trick pony that is a champion thoroughbred. The gain is pretty remarkable going from classic rock tones to early thrash without getting muddy.. The tone control works well and it has loads of volume for my needs. My only gripe is not having a switchable gain but its easy to overlook.

Lightweight and sound loud. This small one should've been created ten years ago and my back could be better now.
