Good loadbox

This is a good loadbox nodoubt. I used this with a Marshall 100w head, 20w 2525 silverjubilee and 20w Blackstar combo. As a loadbox works great. Take care not running your amps too hot.. the tubes will wear out more quicker. I also used Mooer impulse response pedal as a cab simulator and results were somewhat ok with the default IRs.. finding a good matching IR for the tone you looking for will have a good result! This is targeted mostly for folks who want to record powerful amps and maintain volume levels. I had my amps at my home running at hot levels while ppl were sleeping next doors. Left the cabinets at practice place (no need). I listened thru monitors or headphones routing signal thru my interface. About the signal path; if you like to record I found that it took a bit trial&error in the signal path, daw included, where latency plays a part listening/recording also. In the end I I got really great sounds out (the Impulse resonses, and IR player configs play a role too) and had no latency monitoring using my interface.

Excellent unit

Does what it says, load box that you plug in instead of speaker and then sends signal over digital out. I use it with DAW and impulse responses - Ownhammer free one based on Mesa cab and Redwire free one based on Marshall cab. Redwire ones are better, at least in free segment. Still I have to buy ownhammer but for free stuff Redwire is better for me.

I use this on my Mesa Boggie Express 5:25 combo and it rules. It wipes the floor woth any digital modeling stuff(including Line6 Helix, Headrush as they cannot replicate the dynamics and especially sustain that comes over with true tube amp). Cleans are good, can break a little but that is due to a nature of the beast - there is no speaker, just Impulse response that emulates it. Distortion is great, especially on bridge pickup as neck is little muddy(more than amp with speaker). Could be that some other IR can help with this but could be the nature of my amp.

There is no hum, no noise in the sound coming out on Digital out. Build quality is top notch, its like a tank. Digital out I keep at max 12 o'clock and there is plenty of output there if you need more.

I give 4 on features as it is little pricey for "just a load box", if it would have attenuation in it(reducing load and allowing some sound to speaker) then I would be happier but that is just me complicating.

I can play the crancked tube amp at 22h (thats 10PM) or later in total silence with my headphones... Awesome...

Best thing I ever bought

Used with Marshall DSL40 and a Blackstar HT50 and the results are great. Been using it for home + professional recording as well.
It's build like a tank and it adds no extra hum or noise.
Super dynamic, and with a good set of impulse responses you can shape your sound to your liking. Days messing around with impulse responses in post is waaay cheaper than experimenting with micing in a studio, and the results can be pretty close to the actual thing.

I'm using it with a Bugera 1960 (150Watt) amp, that has a master volume (aka attenuator style). Headroom is unbelievable. Clarity amazing. It only takes up to 100 watts, but if you don't go to 10 with the volume, and be moderate at about 4-5, you can get enormous sound!! I'm making a record with this thing. Combined with the right IRs, the results are honestly better than the real miking thing. At least equal.
