this just works for me
Aandray 28.11.2020
I have 2 pairs of studio monitors, 1 pair of HiFi speakers and a pair of live active monitors.
I have my studio computers, a lap top (with mostly audio progs on it) and my smart phone, all the time in my studio.
Now I am able to control all of the above, with just a press on the right button. It simplified my studio life so much. First I was wondering "do I really need this, or I just wanna be more fancy" . Well also being fancy is cool, but the truth is, now my workflow and switching between all of this connections is soo much better! And I also run at least 2 or 3 headphones, which are connected all the time and just turn the right knob, and I m listening through whatever I want. or just sending signal to the headphones behind the drum kit, easily.
I think this is a great product for the price if you are like me, sending signals from many different sources, and also listening with many different combinations. It just does the job !

A surprise considerign for the price
Anonymous 13.01.2017
The Presonus Monitor Station V2 is a solid unit.
I record a lot of voice overs and the occasional instrument and singer. I also mix a lot of music, TV shows and commercials. One day I'll buy the Dangerous Audio Monitor St but for now that cost is not in the budget, in the meantime I desperately need a talk back system and monitor controller. The Presonus Monitor Station V2 is relatively inexpensive, which is what I was expecting when I ordered it, a cheap monitor controller. But the when the V2 arrived it surprised me, it doesn't look or sound cheap, it is well built and functions great surpassing my expectations. There is only one minor con in my opinion, no input for a footswitch for the talkback. I am however extremely satisfied for the price.

Well...this is super useful.
Matias M. 10.11.2015
Cannot be more satisfied.

- Build:

Very sturdy metal enclosure, is a studio grade piece of equipment. On the compact side which is very welcome.

The buttons and knobs are solid....knobs give a bit of a play as you rock them but found out this is normal (every single knob in my gear have that)

Good power supply. (At least for EU), the one that came with the unit is rectangular and more solid than the ones on videos I've seen.

- Sound:

Pristine IN/OUTS either through analog or digital. I've tried both and finally settled with SPDIF input. Both are super clean, no coloration or extra noise (at all)....just use balanced plugs (no regular mono)

- Usability:

I needed this to be able to have everything in front without having to reach to tweak my interface's volume all the time.

Also to be able to record and monitor at the same time using 2 or more headphones and the talkback button is also really useful.

Overall a great product. A bit on the pricey side though.

Exactly what I need - great - one quality issue keeps coming back
PE Toulouse 13.01.2023
I have two sets of monitor speakers, plus a headphone amp for recording.
In Presonus Studio One 6 you need, for recording, to use output 3 and 4 for the special "cue" mix, to minimise latency. The Station is perfect for the needed switching. If you want your "cue" mix on the main speakers (in case of instruments needing no microphone), you just switch the main input to "ST2" and you get the "cue" mix.
In addition, the Station V2 has headphone sockets that I can switch between "main" and "cue". The headphone sound is very powerful and cristal clear.
Update after longer use: The volume poti is noisy (especially at very low volume), it is not extreme, but really disturbing in use. I have seen that I am not the only one having this issue - so it seems that Presonus has to act here! I go down to 4 stars overall and 3 stars for quality..... today I removed the noise by spraying a bit of "Electro Contact Reiniger" at the poti axle (after removing the knob, leaving the poti installed). Update after several months: the issue is coming back. So not very happy.
Update Sept. 24: The station is switching off without warning - until I found out that the problem is the connector of the power supply: the connector is too thick and too short. It works, if you push it in really tight.
