P
Très bel instrument, facile
PHenri 20.05.2021

B
No dissapointment here
BasilX 12.12.2020
I must say I am a keyboard player - I bought Jaguar Bass for fun and with a bit suspicion regarding quality. But no, the quality is actually well above my expectation.
My Jaguar was set perfectly right from the box, no need to touch anything. The sound is surprisingly rich with wide range of possibilities.
I love almost everything about this instrument, the 32" neck is perfect for me, the looks, the finish. The weight is a bit less than 4kg so it is not light, nor too heavy.
I am not huge fan of nested volume and tone controls, would prefer classic jazz bass arrangement, however that is my personal preferrence. The tuners have a bit of cheap feel, otherwise they work flawlessly. The bridge also looks a bit light but obviously does the job just fine.
So, for this kind of money, look no further!

G
Fast Fat Feline. Well Done Squier.
Graham3281 21.04.2023
Highly recommend this bass. Nothing to fault at the price. Well made. Great range of nice fat tones from PJ pickup configuration. Versatile stacked volume and tone controls can produce wide range of useable tones. Aesthetically very pleasing. Beautiful SB finish. Nice "70s Fender" style block inlays on fretboard. Slim jazz style neck. The relatively uncommon 32 inch scale length seems an ideal compromise between long scale 34 inch and short scale 30 inch basses! Resulting in improved playability with nice fat deep tones. I have owned 4 short scales but they all feel like a bit like toys under the hand, whereas this feels like a 34 inch bass but easier to play and less of a stretch for my relatively small hands. The string spacing at top nut is quite close, ideal for me, but it might deter those with larger hands who prefer a wider Precision type neck string spacing.

I have retrofitted a Fender Hi Mass bridge (available from Thomann). Which is in my opinion, more stable, slightly improves sustain and looks classy. Also added Dunlop combination Straploks as I intend to gig this bass.

I am a regular gigging player and own high-end hand built boutique basses plus American MMs, Fenders Jazzes, G&Ls, etc so I really didn't need another bass (but that has never stopped me) I bought this CV Jaguar purely on a whim, but was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely a keeper. Ideally suited to beginners, students and those with smaller hands, but perfectly capable of delivering the goods for professional gigs too. Well done Squier this Jaguar is the "Cat's Whiskers" and clearly a Top Cat!

j
Great Bass for the money!!!
john182 14.02.2022
I needed an inexpensive bass for my home studio and I chose this instrument.
My expectations were fully met.
Just a great instrument.

p.s. It's a pity it doesn't come with a case, but then it would be more expensive.
