I bought this bundle for the C6 Multicompressor and the Trans-x transient designer. If I were to buy these plugins separately through the Waves web site, they would run me about ¤50, on sale. So I basically got the rest of the plugins "for free". You also get the L3 Ultramaximizer, which is only available through a few selected bundles, as well as the MV2, H-Delay and Element 2 analog synth.
I mainly use the Trans-x for shaping transients on drums, and the C6 as a frequency specific bass compressor with bassdrum triggered sidechain. Love this function, as it is very transparent and makes the drums and bass fit nicely together without having the low end triggering the 2bus compressor too much, and draining the overall energy levels of the track or creating unwanted pumping effects.
The MV2 is great for creating a steady input signal, for when you don?t want too much dynamics, but still want to raise the low levels and reduce the higher ones, without the colorisation of a compressor. I often use this as a bass rider.
Pros: The price, and the functionality, especially the C6. You get 6 great plugins (9 if you count all the L3 variants).
Cons: If you already own other bundles like the Platinum, you already have the MV2, L3 ultramaximizer and the H-Delay
Great bundle, and one of the cheapest and best ways to get serious about your low end mixing!
