These things are a gift from the drumming gods. The high top ring is only slightly reduced but it leaves a great deal of air and keeps the drum breathing like it should. fold it and a rich white noise is added again but without the annoying high pitched decay that mics hate. Also, No more nasty glue spots and sticky sillicon on your precious drumheads, YES to M1!

Perfect for subtle, adjustable muffling
Gajdzin 10.12.2021
I've been using o-rings and moon gel for years - this sounds better, works better, is much less hassle, always stays on the rim, but can be lifted with one flick of a finger for that 100% open sound. Highly recommended.

Works on toms too!
KRP_TWA 18.09.2023
I bought this for use as a slight dampener on my 14''x12'' floor tom, as I was tired of moongels getting nasty and/or disappearing when being put into/pulled out of cases for gigs. I experimented with a small piece of foam inside the drum, resting on the resonant head, for a while but I did not like the sound too much. The Snareweight is the perfectfit for me, as it fits snugly on the triple-flanged hoop and its position on the hoop can be regulated to vary the level of dampening (I personally don't press it down too far, for a small amount of dampening). Since I use black drums with black-coloured drumheads, the black Snareweight looks very sleek as well!

A must have

Use on all toms and snares. Looks great and gives just the right amount of muffling. No more sticky moongel
