Cheaper price, soundwise way worse than "real" REMO Pinstripes

I thought I'd try it out. Sounds quite good, at first. After two rehearsals the drumhead was almost already.
I would recommend to get the real Pinstripe, more value for your money. Or try a Aquarian, Code or Evans head.
Anyway, if you are not that picky on sound: they are durable, so for the price it is a good deal.

Pinstripe on a budget. I use it on a 16" bass drum and it sounds awesome. It's difficult to say how different it sounds to Remo Pinstripe, but the sound is good, like I know it from Pinstripes (long time user). No complaint. A great drum head.

Unterschiede zu Remo oder Evans, Aquarian: Das Fell ist ganz leicht milchig. Man kann durchsehen, es ist aber nicht klar wie eine Fensterscheibe. Die Original Pinstripe hatten immer diesen Ölfilm drin, der leicht schimmerte. Das ist bei den Encore von der Optik nicht ganz so. Im Gegensatz zu vorgenannten Marken, wird die Folie hier zwischen den Teilen des Rings eingepresst und nicht geklebt. Dadurch haben die Felle bereits etwas mehr Spannung als bei den Originalen. Auch sind sie vom Maß her ein paar Milimeter größer, soll heißen, die Originale sitzen etwas strammer um den Kessel. Beides Unterschiede sind in der Praxis für mich kein Problem. Ich habe zuletzt vor 25 Jahren Pinstripe gespielt, als ich noch nicht stimmen konnte und froh war, wenn auch der letzte Oberton totgeklebt wurde :) Ich hatte jetzt kein Original zum Vergleich, aber die Encore klingen genau so, wie ich die Originale in Erinnerung habe. Die Qualität ist sehr gut und die Haltbarkeit ebenso. Nach zwei Stunden sieht man so gut wie nichts auf den Fellen. Ich habe schon einige Billigfelle probiert. So z. B. die Fame oder die Hausmarke von Kirstein. Diese Felle klingen zunächst gut, das Material ermüdet aber extrem schnell und es bilden sich Beulen und abgesenkte Bereiche, was man nach dem Entspannen sehen kann. Die Encore spielen in der Profiliga. Wer nicht das Doppelte für eventuell 2% mehr Sound zahlen will, sollte die Encore mal ausprobieren. Ebenso die Snarefelle, allesamt richtig gut und hart am Original, habe alle ausprobiert. Wenn es jetzt noch empereor Kopien gäbe ...

Differences to Remo or Evans, Aquarian: The fur is very slightly milky. You can see through it, but it's not clear like a window pane. The original pinstripes always had this oil film in them that shimmered slightly. This is not quite the case with the Encore in terms of optics. In contrast to the aforementioned brands, the film is pressed between the parts of the ring and not glued. This means that the skins already have a little more tension than the originals. They are also a few millimeters larger in size, which means that the originals sit a little tighter around the shell. Both differences are not a problem for me in practice. The last time I played Pinstripe was 25 years ago, when I couldn't tune yet and was happy if even the last overtone was glued to death :) I didn't have an original to compare with, but the Encore sound exactly as I remember the originals . The quality is very good and so is the durability. After two hours you can hardly see anything on the skins. I've already tried some cheap skins. So e.g. B. the Fame or the Kirstein house brand. These heads sound good at first, but the material tires extremely quickly and bumps and sunken areas form, which can be seen after relaxing. The Encore play in the professional league. If you don't want to pay twice as much for perhaps 2% more sound, you should give the Encore a try. Also the snare heads, all really good and hard on the original, I tried them all out. If only there were still empereor copies...

Lo mismo que con el resto de parches de Remo Encore: Calidad precio correcta con un sonido claro, definido, con una cola presente pero comedida y sin ningún armónico extraño. Nunca he tenido problemas de durabilidad con los parches de Remo, así que espero lo mismo para este.
The same as with the rest of the Remo Encore patches: Correct price quality with a clear, defined sound, with a present but measured tail and without any strange harmonics. I've never had any durability issues with Remo heads, so I expect the same for this one.
