I have and will continue to buy Neutrik sockets and connectors as they are of a consistently high standard.
Every component part of the jack is robust and up to the rigours of studio and performance life.
The soldering to the ground and ring terminals is the only tricky part of this particular connector (as opposed to xlr terminals) but that is more down to my own soldering capability, but it is manageable and the surrounding plastic insulation is very resilient to the occasional slip of the soldering iron!
Top product.

Well build
Anonymous 12.03.2014
This plug is very well and solid build. It slips very good in and out without getting cought inside a female connector. It also is very easy and good for soldering because the pins are aimple accesable. And the solder almoust glues on the pins wich prevents the melting of the plastic parts. This is not a matter of course. Espacially with cheaper plugs it is almost a strain to get a solder connection between the pin connector and the cable. So if you want a solid good quality and easy to solder plug go for the Neutrik. It is worth the (extra) money you pay for it.

Why choose anything else?

As for NP2 X: Neutrik plugs are more expensive than most of the contenders, and they will set you back quite a bit if you're buying bulk. However, I've had enough no-name connectors fail on me through the years to appreciate the build quality of Neutriks, and I will try to get ahold of Neutriks whenever I'm going to solder my own cables.
TRSs are not as easy to solder as XLRs, but absolutely manageable.
Overall, a high quality product at a right price.

Great as always!

Neutrik makes awesome connectors. I had stop making cables for a long time, because I was never happy with the strain relief system of older plugs. Neutrik has an awesome screw on strain relief, and it works beautifully. The contact points where the wires get soldered takes the solder very easily. These are very high quality plugs.
