Sounds better than you would ever expect. Upgrading from the UAD Apollo Twin sounds like I just removed a blanket over my speakers. A lot more clarity but not even a hit of harshness. Dynamic range on mic inputs is insane and the quality sounds like it should be coming from outboard gear, not such a little box. The built in effects do just about anything I need, sometimes simpler is the way to go, an eq, compressor, gate, limiter and reverb bundle handles just about 99% of scenarios. Nothing more to say. This little box is a godsend.

Superb sound and quality

After using the RME Fireface 800 in my home studio for 10 years, I decided to elevate the quality of my recordings and listening experience. Given that Neumann is the company I trust for microphones and audio monitors, and after considering all the reviews, I decided to switch to the MT 48 interface. Immediately, the quality of my listening experience was raised to a higher standard, as well as the quality of the recorded tracks themselves. The device is user-friendly and everything it offers works excellently. The reverb it has isn't of the highest quality, but it's not intended for recording; it just adds to the singer's experience while recording. The only thing that surprised me was that the Clock option wasn't set to "internal" by default, causing the device to produce strange sounds when I first connected it. However, Thomann's customer service understood the issue and suggested I check the clock settings. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the sound.

Amazing Audio Interface

This Neumann interface sounds absolutely amazing, tones of gain makes it hard to clip, super easy way an intuitive to use, love the touchscreen.
Only problem that I encounter is that it tends to overheat quite easily, the fan will help a lot if you put it on max, but makes it quite noisy; so I usually just turn the fan down when I record.

Ich habe das Gerät vor zwei Tagen erhalten (1599 EUR im Black Friday Sale) und habe es ein paar Tage lang relativ ausgiebig getestet.
Dies ist für alle, die eventuell in einer ähnlichen Situation sind: ich bin zu 90 % Hörer und zu 10 % Hobby-Mixer und nehme außer Gitarren nichts auf, also war mir alles andere als die Ausgangsqualität der Main Outs völlig egal.
Ich verwende Neumann KH 150 mit Mogami 2549-Kabeln und Neutrik Golds in einem unbehandelten Raum mit Raumkorrektursoftware (haltet davon was ihr wollt, ich sagte dies ist für Leute in ähnlichen Situationen :)).
Bei meinen Recherchen zu diesem Interface bin ich über einige Kommentare und Bewertungen gestolpert, in denen es hieß "it finally opened up my speakers" und ähnliche Übertreibungen.
Ich kann nicht sagen, dass ich dem zustimme.
Mein reguläres Interface ist ein MOTU M4. Bei einem A/B-Test, bei dem ich blind zwischen den beiden Geräten hin- und hergeschaltet habe, konnte ich absolut keinen Unterschied feststellen. Es war wie ein Münzwurf, welches der beiden Interfaces mir in welchem Moment besser gefiel. Ein klassischer Fall von „das muss das Neumann sein, die Instrumente sind detaillierter und die Klangbühne ist unglaublich... ach Moment, es ist das M4“, bei dem jeder vermeintlich erkennbare Unterschied durch das verfälscht wird, was das Gehirn hören und bevorzugen will.
Also ja. Das Ding geht zurück an Thomann (sorry!), denn für mich, FÜR MICH (!), ist es das Geld nicht wert. Andere Leute haben andere Ausgangssituationen und Bedürfnisse, aber vielleicht hilft dies jemandem, eine Entscheidung während der Recherche zu treffen.
Bonus-Randkommentar: ich habe nicht viel Zeit mit ihnen verbracht, aber die Kopfhörerausgänge scheinen exzellent zu sein und können wahrscheinlich die meisten Kopfhörerverstärker außerhalb der Referenzklasse ersetzen. Ich habe die Klangsignatur meines Geshelli bevorzugt und hätte ihn wahrscheinlich weiter benutzt, aber das ist vielleicht nur Gewohnheit oder eine subjektiv besseres Match mit meinen Aryas.
