The Neumann KH 750 DSP is a compact, high-performance subwoofer designed for professional studio monitoring in small to mid-sized control rooms. Featuring a 10" long-throw driver in a sealed cabinet, it delivers tight, controlled bass with minimal group delay. The integrated DSP engine enhances bass management and room correction, making it an ideal companion for Neumann KH-series monitors, including the KH 80 DSP, KH 120, and KH 310. While analogue Neumann monitors also benefit from enhanced phase response when connected to the KH 750 DSP, the system truly shines when paired with the optional MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system. The Neumann.Control iPad app further extends functionality, allowing precise control over bass settings, crossover configurations, and calibration options. The KH 750 DSP features both analogue (XLR) and digital inputs (AES3 and S/PDIF via BNC), offering high-quality internal conversion and four routing modes for maximum versatility.
The Neumann.Control iPad app transforms the KH 750 DSP into the central control hub of a Neumann stereo monitoring setup. When connected via Ethernet, it enables detailed system calibration, adjusting speaker response based on room size, speaker position, and other key factors - without requiring an external measurement microphone such as the MA 1. This allows for automatic system calibration, ensuring an optimum frequency response. Users can also manually adjust bass levels or apply external processing. Additionally, the Neumann.Control app provides monitoring control functions such as volume adjustments, solo/mute functions, and preset management, offering a streamlined and intuitive user experience.
The KH 750 DSP is ideal for extending the low-frequency response of a monitoring system or offloading bass reproduction from main speakers - whether in a professional studio or home production environment. While it performs best in small to mid-sized spaces, its 10" long-throw driver, EELF™ (Extremely Linear Force Factor) technology, and 256W amplifier ensure highly accurate low-end performance for music production, post-production, and broadcast applications. The KH 750 DSP also integrates seamlessly into multichannel systems with independent bass management, allowing flexible configurations including LFE channels or pairing with larger Neumann subwoofers such as the KH 810 or KH 870. Its advanced DSP processing makes it particularly well-suited for use with other Neumann monitors, ensuring a coherent and phase-accurate sound across all speakers.
Analogue Neumann monitors connected to the KH 750 DSP also benefit from its DSP processing, even if they do not have built-in DSP themselves. In addition to convenient remote control via the app, the KH 750 DSP improves phase response, which can often be inconsistent in analogue multi-speaker setups. The built-in FIR filters include dedicated presets for Neumann KH 120, KH 310, and KH 420 monitors, ensuring precise calibration across the entire system. However, since the KH 80 DSP already includes its own onboard DSP, it does not require additional correction when paired with the KH 750 DSP.
Georg Neumann GmbH was founded in Berlin in 1928 - and is certainly one of the most famous brands of microphones in the world. However, this is not the company's only sphere of activity. For many years, the versatile inventor and pioneer Georg Neumann was also involved with vinyl record cutting machines and the development of rechargeable batteries. The technology he developed is still the basis for this now crucial and rapidly expanding market. What is more, for many years the company built highly personalised sound control systems for broadcast studios/theatres and concert halls, and for several years also studio monitors. In 1991, Neumann became part of the Sennheiser group of companies, and in 1999 was the first German company to receive the Technical Grammy for their overall technical achievements.
The KH 750 DSP also enables automatic calibration for Neumann analogue monitors (such as the KH 120 or KH 310) using the Neumann MA 1 system. This system consists of a pre-calibrated measurement microphone and advanced software, developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute, featuring cutting-edge amplitude and phase correction algorithms. The MA 1 makes it easy to optimise speaker performance for any listening environment - without requiring advanced knowledge of room acoustics. The Neumann MA 1 system is also available as part of the Neumann Monitor Alignment Kit 1 (article no. 512646), which includes the KH 750 DSP and MA 1 for a complete calibration solution.
