Three-way power with studio quality

The Neumann KH 310 A is a new active midfield three-way monitor from the renowned German manufacturer, offering recording studios a particularly neutral sound. It also scores highly in terms of dynamics with its high impulse fidelity, and its uniform directivity makes it capable of suppressing ambient influences more than comparable speakers when monitoring recording and mixing signals. It produces an impressive 290W RMS; the combination of an 8 1/4" woofer, a 3" midrange driver, and a 1" tweeter provides plenty of power and achieves a maximum sound pressure level of over 120dB SPL. With its frequency range from a high-end of 21kHz down to a bass of 34Hz, this speaker leaves nothing to be desired. On top of all that, the Neumann KH 310 A comes equipped with a limiter protection circuit and on-board temperature control.

Fine tune every detail

Audio signals are fed to the magnetically shielded Neumann KH 310 A via a low-noise, balanced XLR socket. For spatial adaptation, frequency processing can be adjusted on the rear panel by way of the preset selector switches, which offer a neutral position and three variations for each of the three speaker channels. The bass can be lowered by a maximum of 7.5dB, the mid-range by a maximum of 4.5dB, and the treble by up to 2dB; the latter can also be raised by 1dB. The output level of the monitor loudspeaker can also be individualised. Ground loops can be prevented using the ground lift feature, and as a little gimmick, the illuminated Neumann logo even has four adjustable brightness settings.

Studio-grade professional gear

The Neumann KH 310 A is first and foremost a professional tool for mid-range use in project and recording studios. Frequent users, especially those using the monitor continuously, will appreciate the fact that it has a thermal protection circuit: A warning LED lights up red if the electronics get too hot and, in addition, the output level of the loudspeaker is also reduced by 20dB when the protection circuit kicks in. Of course, even everyday fans of excellent hi-fi audio will appreciate the Neumann KH 310 A if they are looking for a restrained and detailed sound.

About Neumann

Georg Neumann GmbH was founded in Berlin in 1928 - and is certainly one of the most famous brands of microphones in the world. However, this is not the company's only sphere of activity. For many years, the versatile inventor and pioneer Georg Neumann was also involved with vinyl record cutting machines and the development of rechargeable batteries. The technology he developed is still the basis for this now crucial and rapidly expanding market. What is more, for many years the company built highly personalised sound control systems for broadcast studios/theatres and concert halls, and for several years also studio monitors. In 1991, Neumann became part of the Sennheiser group of companies, and in 1999 was the first German company to receive the Technical Grammy for their overall technical achievements.

Easy to mount a million ways

The Neumann KH 310 A is perhaps most often used horizontally on stands, but it also has two side-mounted M8 openings for attaching accessories such as U-brackets. There are also steel handles on the back, with pre-drilled holes for direct wall mounting. If the plan is to use these monitor speakers on stands, then bear in mind that they will need to be very stable: Constructed as they are from a combination of varnished wood, polyurethane elements, and aluminium backing, just one of these high-quality speakers weighs over 13kg. A suitable column stand for this speaker is, for example, the Thomann Exclusive Monitor Stand Eco WH. The corresponding left speaker is, of course, also available in our shop. The Neumann GKH 310 protective grille, which is sold separately, can also be ordered to give the speaker's diaphragms an extra layer of protection.

Super Lautsprecher, hervorragender Klang.
