Space-saving workstation

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a compact workstation, specifically designed to meet the demands of both recording and music production. The workstation offers a 120cm wide working surface, a raised shelf for a monitor and a pair of studio speakers, and a pull-out tray for a small master keyboard. Two internal 19" racks, each with five rack units, allow the installation of additional audio interfaces, preamps, and other hardware. If you are looking for a compact and well-organised working environment at home or in a project studio, the Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a real bargain.

Space-efficient design

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk's raised shelf is 120cm wide, like the working surface, thus providing ample space for a single monitor and two compact nearfield monitor speakers commonly used in home and project studios. The two 19" racks, each with five rack units, are located centrally under the shelf, so that built-in hardware can be easily accessed from the workstation at any time. The pull-out keyboard shelf, measuring 1005 x 400mm, can accommodate a small master keyboard or other controllers. A very handy feature are the headphone holders attached to both sides of the desk. A slightly more spacious alternative to the SD-120 is the Millenium SD-180 StudioDesk, with a 180cm wide working surface.

Ideal for home and project studios

In most home and project studios, space is not used exclusively for music production. As a result, the setup of the studio is often a trade-off. The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk offers a cost-effective alternative to such permanently improvised workstations. It is designed to accommodate as much equipment as possible within the smallest space imaginable, thus providing a well-organised workspace. This makes it interesting for all creative artists who need a compact and cost-effective workstation for composition, recording, and music production.

About Millenium

Millenium is one of Thomann’s in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store’s range since 1995. More than 800 products – from drums and percussion through to accessories such as microphone stands, racks, and recording workstations – bear the Millenium label. These products are made by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. Since they are imported directly from the factory without any further distributors or sales companies, they can be sold at particularly attractive prices. Incidentally, one in every four Thomann customers has already purchased at least one Millenium product.

They don't get much more compact than this

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a great choice for any setting where a workstation for music production needs to fit into the smallest space possible. This can apply to the living room or hobby room at home, for example, but a rehearsal room for bands or a recording studio can also be complemented by a compact side station for a recording or control room. Compared to a simple table with separate speaker stands, an adjacent master keyboard, and a potential 19" rack, the Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk saves a lot of space.

E
superb budget workstation
Entropy 17.10.2021
Had this desk for just over a year now. Its been used daily, no sign of degradation so far. Ample desk space and my 61 key master keyboard fits perfectly on the pull out drawer. Lots of room to insert rack units, hangers for headphones - its a well thought out solution for those with a small workspace area. Assembly was straight forward, parts feel quality and it looks lovely and modern. Some might moan at the height of the top shelf. However, it wouldn't be too much of customisation job to lower it to taste. I like it as it is, as my small coaxial monitor speakers are perched at he correct height, right in the sweet spot. That said, placing a screen on the top shelf may be an issue for some. I've placed my screen on the desk space in front of the rack units bays and there's still ample room to put my computer keyboard in front of it. Putting slight idiosyncrasies aside, this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I can't recommend this studio desk enough

Amazing desk for small (and also big) purposes
Andromeda I 19.01.2021
This desk came in a resistant packaging (which came really heavy). Quality parts overall!
It comes with two sections for gear rack and the screws to attach them to the desk.
It has everything a producer or musician would need: a space where to put the studio monitors and screen for computer, two hooks for the headphones, a hole where all the cables can pass through, a main surface that is actually pretty big (I've put my Audiofuse Arturia interface, three pedals, a Microkorg, a Korg KaossPad and USB hubs), a sliding section where you can put a 49 (or 61 depending on the size) Midi Keyboard mouse and keyboard.

The only con I can come up with is that every now and then the screws of the legs might get a little bit loose, so the desk starts wobbling a bit, but a little turn with a screw and it's perfect again.

Best desk in the market for the quality/price ratio.

Absolutely recommended!

M
Banana desk
Mcdoug 11.01.2024
This desk looks great, and if you put no rack units in it its awesome!

However, if you do put rack units in it, you discover the space is not 5u tall, but 5u and some inches, so there is a gap at the top which looks terrible, but i guess at least some ventilation.

The main issue is that the desk can not handle the weight of the rack units it holds, the material is MDF and it bends till it hits the very flimsy single cross support underneath. This is not even with full depth rack units!!!

My desk is a banana, at the time I put the gear on sag was approx 5mm, now after a month by about 1cm lower in the center than the sides. Apparently this is within the design tolerance so beware according to the team at Thomann who spoke to the manufacturer. I am glad I was told that "Your purchase is covered by our 3-year repairs warranty" as I think I will need it.

I was missing a screw and the left runner was broken, Thomann were amazing and sent replacements for these, but the replacement shelf runner is also faulty. I cant be bothered trying for another.

Looks great, unless you actually load it up with rack units. If you want something that looks like a studio desk to sit a laptop on go for it, you will look awesome. Try and use it for its real use, good luck!!!

To be clear, Thomann were awesome, they just should not sell such a shoddy product. Five stars for Thomann!

H
Nice and comfortable studio table.
Horned 09.04.2021
I really liked this table.
I use it for my home audio recording studio.
The table does not wobble. Stands firmly on the floor.
The design of the table is beautiful,
Convenient beveled table top.
In general, the table is not flimsy.

I thought Millennium was bad, but I was wrong.

The table was well packed.
Nothing broke during transportation.

The 27-inch computer monitor fits perfectly on the monitor shelf.
And also the Adam T7v studio monitors fit perfectly.

The table is easy to assemble and disassemble.
There were 2 instructions included with the table.
+ hex wrench.
There is also a cable channel for cable management.
+ cables can be secured with cable ties to the metal partition.

This way I have all the cables nicely tucked away at the table.

I recommend this table for purchase for a home recording studio and sound engineer.
