The ergonomically designed body made of nyatoh with a flamed veneer maple top is bolted to the neck in a truly traditional way. In addition, the neck is made of maple topped with a macassar ebony fingerboard. The hardware includes an original Floyd Rose 1000 vibrato for reliable tuning and provides a wide range of possibilities to creatively enhance both playing style and sound generation. To sum it up, tasteful looks, high flexibility, and tried-and-tested branded hardware and electronics come together here to create an affordable instrument that is suitable for a variety of genres.

Variety and aesthetics

The Fusion-III HH FR EB FBB model is a real eye-catcher. The body is made of mahogany-like nyatoh with a veneer top in a transparent "Gloss Flamed Bengal Burst" finish, creating a decorative appearance that is also found on the headstock. A four-screw neck joint secures the Canadian flamed maple neck to the body. This instrument is very comfortable to play thanks to its nut width of 42mm and its modern C neck profile. The ebony fingerboard with 24 wear-free jumbo stainless steel frets is also more than an off-the-rack product. The original Floyd Rose 1000 vibrato is set up to float and thus allows for plenty of leeway in terms of pitch variation. The electronics comprise two AlNiCo-5 humbuckers made by Roswell. These are complemented by a three-position switch, as well as potentiometers for volume and tone. The latter allows the humbuckers to be split via a push-pull function, thus also making single-coil sounds possible.

Original Floyd Rose for beginners and smart spenders

Original Floyd Rose systems like the one found on the Harley Benton Fusion-III HH FR are rarely found in this price range. So if you've always dreamed of owning a guitar with a high-quality system such as this, then this is your chance. The Floyd Rose offers excellent tuning stability, which also necessitates a complex design, so newcomers to the world of "dive bombs" and "squeals" are advised to familiarise themselves with the system's setup. Besides the vibrato system, the two humbucking pickups, the three-way switch, and the push-pull potentiometer for splitting the pickups also ensure exceptional tonal flexibility. Extremely durable stainless steel frets as well as an ergonomically designed body and the comfortable neck profile emphasise that this is an instrument that will be with you for the long haul.

Roswell humbucker on the Harley Benton Fusion-III HH FR EB FBB

Sounds to suit any style

The Fusion-III HH FR is ready to face any situation. The original Floyd Rose 1000 with individually adjustable saddles offers a familiar flat profile. Thanks to the string bar and the Floyd Rose nut, the vibrato unit provides impressively reliable tuning even with major changes in pitch - so there's nothing to get in the way of creative playing, e.g. for leads and solos. The straightforward combination of two splittable humbuckers provides an extremely high level of sonic flexibility, so that, for example, changing your instrument for the sake of sound should be unnecessary when on stage. With one instrument, you can switch from silvery-clean single coil sounds to crisp humbucker-style crunch on the bridge pickup and on to fluid solo tones using the neck pickup - from Blues to Metal and from Pop to Funk, no problem at all.

Beast on a budget
Zdravko M. 18.05.2023
I've been playing guitar for 29 years now...f*** I'm old... :)
I'd just like to point that out so you'd know that I'm an experienced player and I have all of my dream guitars (Les Paul, Strat, Tele, Gretsch, Martin), and those are not the low end ones...so, I'd like to think that I know a thing or two about guitars...
So, let me tell you...
A couple months ago I started thinking about Floyd rose style guitars again (I've had my Steve Vai/Satriani period in my teens), so I wanted to get a guitar with 24 frets and a Floyd, but I was really low on budget, so instead of buying an Ibanez, I opted for this guitar.
I've seen many reviews of it on You tube and some people had some complaints, but let me tell you....I can't see one bad thing on this guitar. It's amazing to me how it costs 300euro and it has an original Floyd Rose which, by the way, stays in tune like a charm. It's got a really nice dark ebony fretboard (in my opinion it sounds better than the roasted maple), stainless steel frets (somehow during all my time playing guitar I've managed not to play one with stainless steel frets, for some reason I avoided them for no good reason...) and a well balanced and contoured body, so you can reach 24th fret easily.
I saw some people complained about frets not being perfect, but I have a totally diferrent experience. They are flawless. As the matter of fact, the whole guitar is flawless. All I did when I received it was a little set up (I tightened the neck because it had a little bow, and I lowered the trem because the action was too high) and now it just plays like butter...actually, like melted butter...it almost plays by itself.
Down the line, I guess that I'll be replacing the pickups, but I really am not complaining, these Roswell pickups are not bad at all.
If I have to make one complaint, which is really more like a sugestion for Thomann in the future, I really think that it would be nice if the back and sides had some see through finish and not just black, it looks like plastic to me, and really cheap this way. Oh, and one more thing...the back plate could be routed in, not just screwed on and sticking out, looks weird when all of the other parts are ergonomically shaped and perfect. So, as I said, those are not complaints really, just sugestions...
Why are you still reading this....go and get one for yourself, you won't regret it!

GM
The best Floyd Rose guitar on the market!!!
George M71 05.09.2023
My Fusion FR arrived flawless!!! Amazing paint job, the neck has a pitch black ebony fretboard with full polished stainless steel frets! The neck is 1mm thicker (21mm at the first fret) than the Fender Strats or Charvels. The Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo is amazing, the tuning is 100% stable. All the electronics work perfectly. The knobs are the metal ones with the allen screw. The guitar came in tune and with a full set-up, I just lowerd the action to 1,6mm which i prefer. Although i have some DiMarzio pickups i will not change the Rosewell HAF-Alnico-5 set. I love them. They are PAF style pickups medium to high output, clear but a bit dark with a nice growl and bite with overdrive which i really like. I have the guitar from May 2023, and still is my best FR guitar to play.
Approved and Recommended.

Extraordinary Value
Trubshaw 04.03.2023
You can read the spec on-line and it is amazing. The real deal is the quality Floyd Rose - you cannot finds this model even on guitars costing three times as much. If you want to try an FR or want to upgrade to a better FR this is a no brainer. Do not bother with cheaper FRs you will be disappointed, frustrated and it won’t last. Also watch Youtube video by Steve Vai’s guitar tech on how to setup.

WOW. JUST WOW. This axe feels and sound like much more expensive guitars.
santu ronzu 04.03.2024
I have been a pro for over 20 years. I mastered (yes, mastered) both electric AND classical guitar. I certainly don't say I am the only one, but I know I have facts to back up my seemingly boisterous claim. And I am trained in classical piano too, although I am only a good intermediate there. And I have seen plenty of gear, guitars, amps, pedals, you name it.

In short: this guitar is one of the VERY BEST guitars I ever came across. It greatly exceeded ALL my expectations. This guitar is frankly INCREDIBLE value for money. Easily compared with more expensive guitars (which I have). Not only that, the Harley Benton I consider BETTER, because it has fantastic stainless steel jumbo frets, are nice and tall. I am in luck, because the frets on my HB are, incredibly, PERFECTLY level, except for a couple of frets that are a little taller, but this doesn't create me any problems. This is quite uncommon, but probably more common with ss frets, I think these are WAY more consistent compared to the outdated, cheap silver nickel frets.

You only find stainless steel frets like on the Harley Benton, on guitars starting from £ 1000, and even then, not all of them. I could lower the action to lower than recommended on my Music Nomad tool. I have 1.10 mm on low E and 0.90 on high E. The guitar almost plays by itself. The tone is to die for, with my tube amps it owns the place. It has a tight tone with excellent sustain. I play metal, so this is exactly the tone I want.

The trem system is exactly the one you find on many guitars starting at £ 800-1000. Proper Floyd Rose Korean 1000 series, which is made with same materials as the expensive 'Original', but built in Korea. The provenience is a trivial detail that doesn't affect the quality of the trem. I lubricated all the screws and fine tuners and it works like a Swiss watch, superb tuning stability.

The pickups? I had never tried these Roswell before. I had tried the Tesla ones on my Harley Benton MAX signature. I thought they were of excellent quality, but I am a dimarzio and seymour duncan guy. Used these for decades, never found one that I did not like.

But when I play this superb superstrat, I totally forget I have the Roswell pickups on it. They sound and feel excellent, they have a meaty output and tone, honest I am not even going to bother replacing them.

Wow. I absolutely love this guitar, the value is extraordinary. If it costed 3 times as much, and I had tried it, I would still have bought it. This is going to be my main axe, period. I will use it extensively in my new recordings.

BTW, I also have the cst24t, and the MAX Signature, both stellar guitars. The MAX signature is great but I actually prefer these Fusion III. The neck on the MAX is fatter, and I really like these Roswell pickups.

Look, this guitar is TOTALLY PRO. Mine came a total killer, stock. But they are also awesome to modify if that's your thing. Back in the day, there were only 2 ways to get a great guitar: either you had to spend a lot of money for one, or get a lower cost one, and replace the pickups and hardware with high quality parts. All the rest was JUNK.

Harley Benton is totally KILLING it. This brand deserves huge success. You can tell they are bending backward to offer as much value as possible for your money, and NO other brand is doing this.

Oh, and another thing: lots of players buy expensive gear because they are insecure. They know that a Bugera amp can sound every bit as great as the fancy super-duper overpriced amp. But because of their insecurity, they don't like to be seen with lower cost gear. And with these Harley Benton guitars, lower cost does NOT mean inferior, and in some areas are SUPERIOR, such as the jumbo stainless steel frets, which many other guitars do not have, even far more expensive ones.

This is just vanity. I can play my butt off, so I have none of these problems. I'd go on tour with these Harley Benton guitars with absolutely no problem. If you had given this guitar to Dave Murray, or Clapton, or any of the greats, 35 years ago, they would have been over the moon.

Incidentally, my Fusion III FR reminds me of a Valley Arts superstrat I used to drool over. It was about 5000 dollars, so of course I never bought it.

And it didn't even have stainless steel frets. Ha ha....

Conclusion: this guitar is not just a good guitar, but GREAT, and AWESOME. The value for money is ridiculously high, higher than any other guitars.

Thank you, Thomann. Your rock.

-----

PS. and after writing all the above, like other buyers, I too ordered another one! This time in a blue flame top, it's amazing how different they sound, each with their distinct personality. This is getting addicting!
