Fender has really upped their game with the "pure vintage" series, including finally reproducing the long-sought after "pat. pending" saddles from the 60s strats. Slight bummer for me was that one of the tiny allen screws was missing for one saddle, but it's pretty much impossible to know if I never got it or if it is somewhere buried between the cushions of my couch. Hard to say for sure if it made any noticeable difference in sound, although I do feel like I notice a little more clarity/projection.
WORD TO THE WISE: pay close attention to the length of the screws before installing these saddles! Both the springs and the allen screws are different lengths, determining which saddles should be used where. I was a little late in noticing this with the allen screws, and now they are very uneven and I have buzzing in some places. Slightly frustrating now, but my own fault, and will be an easy fix when I get around to it.
