I was not able to find a pickguard for my mexican strat till i found this,the others just didn't fit. This one was perfect and this colour gives a nice look! Reccomended!

Ich habe 2 Squier JVs aus 1983 und 1984. beide haben beim Spielen "geknistert", wenn man mit den Fingerkuppen über das Pickguard gestrichen ist. Viel verändern will man an so einer JV ja nicht, also mit Lötkolben etc. eine Problemlösung zu finden, schied erstmal aus. Ganz knisterfrei ging es nur mit feuchten Fingern, aber man kann ja nicht ständig die Finger in Wasser tunken, wenn man spielt.
Also habe ich dem Shield Pickguard eine Chance gegeben ... Und siehe da: Das Knistern ist weg - auch mit trockenen Fingern. Auch sonst machen die PUs keinen ungewollten Mucks mehr, was die Nebengeräusche angeht.
Sehr gut! Da die JVs ja Vintage Modelle auf hohem Niveau sind, passen auch die Bohrlöcher perfekt.
Habe gleich noch eins für eine 50s Strat-Reissue gekauft, die hatte das selbe Problem. Jetzt nicht mehr. Hier musste ich allerdings ein zusätzliches Loch in das Shield stanzen.
Sehr empfehlenswerte Investition dieses flache Stück Blech!

I have 2 Squier JVs from 1983 and 1984. Both of them "crackled" when playing when you ran your fingertips over the pickguard. You don't want to change much in a JV like this, so finding a solution to the problem with soldering irons etc. was out of the question for the time being. The only way to get it completely free of crackling was to use wet fingers, but you can't keep dipping your fingers in water when you're playing. So I gave the Shield Pickguard a chance... And lo and behold: the crackling is gone - even with dry fingers. The PUs no longer make any unwanted noise when it comes to background noise. Very good! Since the JVs are vintage models of a high level, the drill holes also fit perfectly. I bought another one for a 50s Strat reissue, which had the same problem. Not anymore. Here, however, I had to punch an additional hole in the shield. Highly recommended investment in this flat piece of sheet metal!

Cette plaque non seulement isole des interférences mais en plus je trouve quelle renforce le son de la guitare, lui donne plus d'attaque et rajoute un peu de médium au son général. j'avais ma stratocaster 62's vintage reissue qui était équipée d'origine de cette plaque et j'en trouvais le son excellent. j'ai donc équipé ma classic player manche maple de cette plaque et je trouve qu'elle s'est bonifiée aussi! super!

This plate not only isolates interference but I also find that it strengthens the sound of the guitar, gives it more attack and adds a little midrange to the overall sound. I had my vintage reissue 62's Stratocaster which was originally equipped with this plate and I found the sound excellent. So I equipped my classic maple neck player with this plate and I find that it has improved too! great!
