Amazing stand for homes and venues
ndbobrov 25.10.2024
It's and incredibly good stand for the money. Good job drumcraft, I am a fan now. Sturdy, stable, pretty heavy, though. The manufacturing quality is very very pleasing.
I used this one for gigs, but it's not the lightest item in your hardware bag. Had great fun using it with my 12" pad at home.
NB it's not the highest stand, and you won't be able to play while standing on a 14*5 snare.

Great Value

Really impressed with the whole lineup of DrumCraft Series 4 hardware.

Never purchased anything from DrumCraft before, but the quality is as good as I could want. Stupid cheap, but holds up well to quite and a beating and everything's heavy/stable enough to not move at all on a gig (provided you're on a rug, I have no idea what grip is like on a hard floor).

Don't bother going for higher end stuff if you're only gigging once or twice a week at most - this will do the job.

PD
Good for deeper snares.
Porta Drummer 22.11.2024
I bought this for a 6.5 inch snare and for this depth it's a great little stand. It gets lower than other cheap stands, which is a must if you play deep snares and sit quite low. I've tried it also on my piccolo snare and was surprised at how much the upper arm had angled when tightened. The screw pushes the narrower tube against the wall of the larger bottom one, tilting it quite a bit. This of course happens only when a large part of the upper tube is out. For deeper snares this is not an issue. Also, I don't understand why manufacturers don't engineer the gears precisely. I haven't had a single snare stand which would hold a snare perfectly flat. There's always a bit of tilt. I'm sure some more expensive stands do it, but still, it should be mandatory for every snare stand. This said, it's inexpensive, it looks very nice, is well made and for my needs it will serve its purpose just fine.

More than good enough snare stand for those who focus on playing. Recommended.
