No standardized size.

I bought these to replace the old tuners on a 1979 Yamaha FG-512. Seeing these are the only open-slot 12-sting tuners Thomann sells, I expected them to fit. But they don't. The shaft spacing is indeed 25mm, but the Yamaha shaft spacing is 24mm. It just doesn't fit. I ended up just cutting each side in 6 pieces, which works, but doesn't look nice and was a lot of work.

Apart from this they are OK. I did notice inconsistency in turning resistance between the knobs. Some turned easier then others. But the price-quality is probably very good.

Perfect for that old 12-string guitar

I bought these to replace a broken set on an old 12-string guitar I had. They did the job perfectly and worked really well. Hard to beat at this price too.

Funktion und Optik stimmen
Tomas B. 10.09.2012
