This is a significant upgrade on Melodyne 4. Overall it is more intuitive, there is increased functionality and the algorithms produce better results than its predecessor. I have reprocessed vocals that I had previously done with Melodyne 4 and there is a noticeable improvement in the sound and accuracy. I have had no issues in terms of computer utilisation as it does not appear to be too heavy on the processor.

Habe von Version 4 auf 5 geupdated.
Gründe hierfür waren vor allem zwei Features:
1) Automatische Erkennung und Ignorierung von Atempausen und S-Lauten bzgl. Tuning
2) Bessere Erkennung des tonalen Schwerpunkts von gesungenen Noten.
Zu 1): Prinzipiell erspart dies einiges an Klicks, da nun nicht mehr jede einzelne Atempausen und jeder S-Laut "abgetrennt" werden muss bevor eine Note getuned wird. Zum Vergleich: In Version 4 war dies erforderlich, weil ein Tuning von eben diesen Beiden praktisch immer unerwünschte Artefakte erzeugte.
Zu 2): Hat man mit Version 4 vormals per Makro-Werkzeug den Pitch einer Note zu 100% korrigiert, so kam es durchaus vor, dass da Resultat leicht "sharp" oder "flat" war; eben nicht auf den Punkt.
In Version 5 wird das tonale Zentrum einer Note nun weit besser erkannt, was entsprechend weit mehr Punktlandungen des 100%-Tunings erzeugt.
Heißt nicht, dass 100% immer die Antwort ist im Kontext eines Arrangements, aber zumindest ist 100% in Melodyne jetzt weit näher an 100% "on Pitch" laut menschlichem Gehör, was eben das Ziel sein sollte.
Alles in allem habe ich das upgrade nicht bereut und bereits einiges an Zeit und Frust gespart.
