ART Splitcom Pro

I've bought this for a specific reason.

I Run 2 BOSE L1s with B2 subs.. and use a Mackie DL806 desk..
I needed only to have one BOSE system in a venue for an event, but needed more inputs than the BOSE Tonematch had.
I used a lead from 2 - XLR outs (desk) to a Stereo jack in for the BOSE PA.
I got such a strange sound, like a crazy reverb and low volume levels, but had no reverb on the desk. I ended up using just the left channel, wasn't happy with the sound that night.. something was missing.

I looked into why and found that, the lead doesn't 'SUM' the outputs to create a clean balanced signal.

Hence why I've bought the ART Splitcom Pro.
I now should be able to have a stereo signal 'SUMMED' into one lead.

I can guarantee someone else has had this problem.
Hope this review will help you.

Handy little tool
Matthew F. 18.02.2014
I bought the splitter so we could add one more microphone to our mixing desk. It worked very well for this purpose with out, as far as I can tell, colouring the sound at all. It also works well for sending a signal to two separate outputs. We've used it send the same signal to both the PA and recording equipment.

Build quality is great. It's been travelling around lose in the bottom of my equipment bag for months now and other than a few knocks and scrapes is still in good condition and working perfectly. It's proven to be a good, cheap solution for an annoying problem.

Very flexible unit!

I use this box (or several of them, actually) to split the signal from the vocal microphones in our rehearsal stidio. On signal goes to the PA and the other to my Zoom R16 recorder. I have also recorded live gigs this way.

Hyvä perustuote.
Juha3468 14.11.2014
