PR
2 line merger box.

As a sound guy, I never heard true stereo from a band, room size and other un'predictable reflections make stereo a "not so sure", so I got this XLR signal merger and now only need one XLR wire back to the stage from my stereo mixing desk. I know this is mono, but it saves so much work reeling out my 30 meter cable when the 10 meter X 6 will do the job in Mono. Plus, any sound guy worth their salt can have the sound "cracked tight" 1/2 way through the first number.

I now daisy chain the main JBL's and stage monitors, have to sneak around onstage now & again to tweak the active monitors, but sound guys need to be seen onstage sometimes.

This little box uses a transformer to keep all signals separate & safe from harm with very little loss of signal. A great addition to any sound guys box of trix. The beauty of this for me is "NO BATTERIES", I hate PP3's as they cost a lot and are always failing.

The older musicians amongst them/us, sometimes refuse stereo out of their need for "genuine music", this little guy (box) is the answer. Try and find gear like this in your local music shop, would cost hundreds.

I use SML21 (line signal combiner) to connect 2 mixers to one amplifier, so I don't have to change settings, or rewire the main mixer. I haven't noticed any change that this device makes to the sound in live setting. SML21 looks and feels solid built, but as I haven't used it long enough, I cannot comment on reliability.A very useful tool, in my opinion.

EDIT: there's some slight drop in level when using this combiner, probably because it is a passive device

I really needed a cheap good signal merger for double a wireless microphone receiver because I only have one mic input on my DJ mixer, so this is a good choice, works great no problems, small, light, smart.
