Beyond all limits

The 2box DrumIt Five MkII is an e-drum module to which pads from any manufacturer can be connected. The module is factory-equipped with a 32 GB SD card containing 75 high-quality drum kits in 24-bit PCM quality, including many acoustic drum kits as well as electronic and percussion sounds. The open sound architecture removes the memory limits that apply to conventional e-drum modules, so kits with specially created multisamples can be saved in 25 additional memory slots, but it is also possible to overwrite the 75 preset kits. In addition, the DrumIt Five module offers over 300 loops and 38 play-along tracks and is therefore also ideal for practice purposes.

Full dynamics

If you buy an e-drum set and want to use it without a computer, you have to make do with the sounds included in the module, and even if some modules allow you to import your own sounds, the memory space is usually limited. And this is where the 2box DrumIt Five MkII module comes into play with an SD card slot that can hold memory cards with a capacity of up to 64 gigabytes. This makes it possible to use high-resolution, specially created multi-layer sounds with up to 128 velocity zones or external drum samples from sample libraries without the need for a computer and an audio interface.

The module for individualists

Beginners or advanced players who are only looking for an e-drumset with which they can practise calmly at home will find inexpensive complete solutions without any problems. However, the 2box DrumIt Five MkII is aimed at users who want the maximum possible sound dynamics and authenticity, as well as at those who prefer an individual setup with pads from different manufacturers and need a freely configurable, robust module with flexible routing options. On stage, six individual outputs make it possible to provide the FOH mixer with separate channels for different instruments.

About 2box

2box was founded in Stockholm in 2007 by Bengt Lilja and specialises in the production of electronic drums. Lilja, who had already been involved in the development of the Clavia ddrum 4 five years earlier, enjoyed immense success when he presented the 2box DrumIt Five e-drumset during the 2008 NAMM show. The special feature of the DrumIt Five is its open sound architecture, which enables the import of high-resolution multisamples and thus produces extremely realistic sounds within a previously unobtainable dynamic range. Besides e-drum modules and complete sets, 2box also markets drum triggers and other e-drum accessories.

The perfect solution for hybrid drumming

On stages around the world, drummers who integrate electronic sounds into their acoustic drum kits (and to this end have created highly individual hybrid kits that are precisely tailored to their own needs) are an increasingly common sight. These setups often include different drum pads and trigger microphones that are attached to the acoustic drums, and the 2box DrumIt Five MkII module offers the ideal prerequisites for this type of configuration. As an extremely flexible trigger interface, it is compatible with pads from various manufacturers and also processes the signals from trigger microphones perfectly. Numerous inputs and outputs enable flexible routing and most importantly, thanks to the open sound architecture, there are really no limits to the selection of the desired sounds.

Mal sehen was dann passiert.
