Its lovely sexy darkness makes it an awesome cymbal, at home with the rock music I play but I'd imagine it be great at everything else you could throw at it! I use it as my main crash with a 20" Dark Thin as a secondary crash, perfect combo, add in the brightness of my 22" A Custom Medium Ride and Newbeat Hi-hats and I feel I have a setup that could be used for all types of music.
Great Cymbal. I was debating going for this of a another dark thin, however after watching several online vidoes I decided to go for the K Custom. The K Custom is heavier than the Dark thins I've used in the past. Its like a K Dark thin with a bit more ommphh...
Beautiful traditional finish and nice hammering marks, this cymbal looks as stunning as it sounds...
You will not be disappointed if you buy one of these :)
NOOOO not the band, this cymbal...

Love Zildjan...BUT
Bruji 29.03.2019
I love Zildjan, especially A Custom's and have previously owned Dark K's but this particular model the sustain is so long and pronounced i found that it essentially overrides and spills way passed the point that is comfortable. For me i've reverted back to A Customs... Sorry... :(

K-Custom 18" Dark Crash
Thomas7957 23.02.2015
The 18" dark crash cymbal from the K-Custom range is definitely a good solid all rounder. Easily peaceable in a wide variety of music environments.
The sound is dark, controlled, with enough wash that is not overpowering yet cuts through at a noticeable rate.
As with all of the K-Custom crashes, I wouldn't recommend them for using as a ride, even in small based setups. However, if you are looking for a particularly dark crash, with warm character, then look no further.
The lathing is quite complex, on both sides of the cymbal, as is the hammering, of which is consistent with all of the K-Custom range crashes, splashes and china's.
All in all, this is a beautiful cymbal that will really compliment your set up in any shape or form.
110% recommended

Delivers a fantastic big and dark sound. Brilliant crash and I use it all the time! Can be very over powering but if you learn how to use it properly its fantastic.
