lancet is a very authentic module with powerful VCO and sounds very good. But since the sound range is quite limited, so this module expands its capability quite well. Actually connecting cable is an old fashion one, big and heavy. But creates outstanding sound.

This offers a few features just with the Mono Lancet and Dock alone e.g. you can tune osc2 much further apart than the 'detune' on the desktop unit (e.g. 5ths is good). 12 patch points in total - very useful. Well written short guide that comes with it too offering suggestions on how to integrate with other eurorack modules.

Le vermona Mono Lancet est une machine qui envoi du lourd, des grosses basses… Mais qui se retrouve trés vite limitée car il n'y a pas de possibilité de moduler les PulseWidth, de synchroniser le LFO… Mais avec le dock tout ça deviens possible en l'intégrant dans un Eurorack. Le cable pour le brancher est particulièrement grand. Ça peut-être gênant. Ce combo est néanmoins une trés bonne idée. Dans l'usage, ça me permet d'avoir avec moi en permanence une petite machine, solide, avec un gros son, sous la main. Et de pouvoir la brancher à mon Eurorack 18 U et de profiter pleinement de toutes ses caractéristiques.

The Vermona Mono Lancet is a machine that sends heavy, big bass... But which very quickly finds itself limited because there is no possibility of modulating the PulseWidth, of synchronizing the LFO... But with the dock all this becomes possible by integrating it into a Eurorack. The cable to connect it is particularly large. It could be embarrassing. This combo is nevertheless a very good idea. In use, it allows me to always have a small, solid machine with me, with a big sound, on hand. And to be able to connect it to my Eurorack 18 U and take full advantage of all its features.

Gleich vorweg, ich hab die Mono Lancet (MK I) schon seit zig Jahren und liebe sie bis heute. Damals war sie im Verbund mit zwei Doepfer Minicases mein Einstieg ins Eurorack.
Das Modular Dock spielte auch für Vermona eine ähnliche Rolle wie für mich damals, einen Fuß ins Euro Getummel zu kriegen. Sozusagen mit einer eigenständigen Voice die ich erweitern konnte.
Das Dock funktioniert technisch ganz gut, da kann sich keiner beschweren, es hat auch die typische Vermona Haptik und gute Verarbeitung. Meine Kritik geht hier eher in die Richtung wie oft braucht es wirklich zusätzliche Module um mit der Lancet Spaß zu haben?
Für alle die ein Eurorack haben das ein bischen größer ist, ist das Teil uninteressant weil es in der Praxis eigentlich nur Platz wegnimmt und nichts wirkliches beisteuert. Auch der Connector ist klobig und leider nicht gut gewählt aber mir fällt nichts ein womit man das Problem besser hätte lösen können.
Ich glaube ja das Alleinstellungsmerkmal der Mono Lancet ist der wahnsinnig tolle Vintage Sound der unter uns auch so manchen Moog in den Schatten stellen kann. Die Lösung währe eigentlich gewesen diesen tollen Synthesizer gleich halb Modular anzubieten, ähnlich wie Dreadbox das heute umsetzt, auch mit der MK II Version gibt es das leider immer noch nicht, ich denke es hat vielleicht auch was mit den Custom Gehäusen der ganzen Lancet und Fourmulator Familie zu tun das es das bis heute nicht gibt ist aber mMn eine vertahene Chance.
Aber für alle die wissen wollen ob das Teil funktioniert, ja tut es und es ist auch günstig genug ums mal einfach auszuprobieren, man sollte allerdings nicht erwarten das dann eine art Quantensprung im Sound stattfindet, das einzige was schön ist hierbei, ist vielleicht die Möglichkeit der Filter FM und vielleicht mit einer zweiten Hüllkurve getrennt vom VCA den Filter zu modulieren, ansonsten ist das Dock für mich persönlich eines der idiosynkratischsten Produkte im Vermona Produktkatalog, funktioniert tadellos macht aber ab einem gewissen Zeitpunkt wenig Sinn.

First of all, I've had the Mono Lancet (MK I) for tens of years and still love it to this day. At that time, together with two Doepfer mini cases, it was my introduction to the Eurorack. The Modular Dock also played a similar role for Vermona as it did for me back then in getting a foot in the Euro hustle and bustle. So to speak, with an independent voice that I was able to expand. Technically the dock works quite well, no one can complain about that, it also has the typical Vermona feel and good workmanship. My criticism here is more along the lines of how often do you really need additional modules to have fun with the Lancet? For anyone who has a Eurorack that is a bit larger, the part is uninteresting because in practice it only takes up space and doesn't really contribute anything. The connector is also clunky and unfortunately not well chosen, but I can't think of anything that could have solved the problem better. I think the unique selling point of the Mono Lancet is the incredibly great vintage sound that can put some Moogs among us to shame. The solution would actually have been to offer this great synthesizer in a semi-modular format, similar to what Dreadbox does today, unfortunately this is still not available with the MK II version, I think it may also have something to do with the custom housings of all the Lancet and Fourmulator To do with a family that doesn't exist to this day is, in my opinion, a missed opportunity. But for everyone who wants to know whether the thing works, yes it does and it's cheap enough to just try it out, but you shouldn't expect a kind of quantum leap in the sound to take place, the only thing that's nice about this is perhaps the possibility the filter FM and perhaps modulating the filter with a second envelope separate from the VCA, otherwise for me personally the dock is one of the most idiosyncratic products in the Vermona product catalog, works perfectly but at a certain point it makes little sense.
