Ah, Vandoren, Vandoren...
More than $250 for mouthpiece with 0,75 mm burrs?
Your reeds could be presented as an extreme example of inconsistency, and now this bad surprise.
Of course I'm not going to return it, I'm practical guy and I can solve it by myself. But... with all respect to Vandoren know how, the quality is horrible.
The other side is the sound. The mouthpiece is extremely easily playable, and provides nice, clean sound. You can even growl with this guy, but why? Here are definitely better mouthpieces for modern sound. I'll definitely use this mouthpiece in orchestra.
Don't buy Rovner 4R for this mouthpiece. It's too big, too loose.
Try Rovner 3R, it fits so-so, but at least works.
No idea why Rovner recommends 4R ligature :(
