So
The best Power Supply unit I’ve ever used
Sound of the Suburbs 07.09.2020
All of the cheaper pedal power supplies I’ve tried so far have noise issues. This one is pro level, totally quiet. Well worth buying this. Don’t go cheap on your power supplies. I’ve had 2 cheaper units which both gave me ground loop noise. It’s got enough outputs for my pedalboard. I’m very impressed with it. The only thing I would have liked were longer cables. The cables are very short so you may want to think about buying longer cables if you have a bigger pedalboard or want to tie your cables in a tidy way. I use a pedal train Jr which I also bought from Thomann and in order for some of the cables to reach properly you would need to mount the supply right in the centre of the pedalboard and the cables will just about reach, if taking a direct straight line. I want to have my cables tidy so will need to purchase a set of longer cables in order to do this. This is not a problem and not any fault of the manufacturer. Truetone were good enough to supply mounting brackets for the unit which I feel every power supply manufacturer should do this. I advise anyone who wants to have a noise free trouble free pedalboard to get this. Don’t go cheap on your power supply get the best out there right now, get the Truetone CS7 and get it from Thomann. They will look after you as they have always done for me.

Great connection options but has a few issues
darkog 07.03.2020
I was looking for a PSU for my palmer pedalbay 40 pedalboard. The pedalboard has space underneath where the supply can be mounted.

Pros
- no noise issues
- a lot of connection options for different pedals with different requirements
- Looks really robust and well made

Cons
- power outlet and DC connector layout is bad (see issues mounting it below)
- It is too wide and takes too much space when using the straight DC cables

My pedalboard has reinforcement metal bars below which are around 1cm high. When mounting it the power outlet is not blocked, but the DC connectors are, since they are laid out on the upper side of the PSU in this orientation. flipping the PSU causes the power outlet to be blocked by the reinforcement bars instead...
Another issue is that the DC connectors come with a straight and an angled connector. when using the straight connector in the PSU it takes too much space and again cannot be mounted under my pedalboard.

I think this is a great supply if you use it on top of your board or if your pedalboard has a flat bottom,

Does what it says and more

It has quietened my effects, works smoothly and is well built. You expect it to follow the specs and it actually goes beyond that. My pedalboard layout made me connect two effects to one output. And there are still as noiseless as if they were totally separated. You buy it to get rid of daisy chain but it's good to know that this power supply can handle it (at least to some extend), should you need it.

Solid and steady

Powers perfectly. Some of my guitar pedals don't seem to sound that good when battery powered. The 1Spot seemed like an extravagence at first but I don't miss not buying tons of batteries all the time.
