P
You can't go wrong
Paul7411 11.02.2020
I was coming from the classic 1spot single power unit. I had this device for years and years with a long daisy chain of 8/9 pedals, and never had a single problem. Now I was rethinking my pedal board, bought some new pedals, also digital, for a total of 10. So I thought it was about time to make things look a little more clean and professional and I got this CS6. The 1spot with all the pedal was starting to hissing a bit, when I plug the CS6 the thing was DEAD quiet!

The box is slim and quite light, you can have it under or over your board. I've got a palmer/harley-benton board and I had no problem fixing it under the board with just some velcro. There are various mA level outlets but actually, if you see truetone videos, all can feed whatever mA needs your pedal, just be shure to not overpower the total amount of mA available. You can also plug daisy chains if you have more than 7 pedals (I say 7 because there's already a Y cable provided). Other thing the manual doesn't say is that the power supply sports two blue led on the short sides, witch add a little coolness to your board! Nice touch. The price is also very competitive, no need to get fancier stuff. Completely satisfied!

J
Useful for most pedalboards
JIC 03.03.2020
This unit powered my whole board, including 4 stompboxes and a Boss MS-3 and Digitech Whammy 5. I've never had any noise issues other than from my Strat pickups. I used the included template to screw the unit to my board, but Velcro / Dual-Lock should work just as well.

PROS
- 2x 500mAH (enough power ANY 9V DC pedal)
- 2x 18V - added headroom to my MXR Boost/Line Driver and BE-OD
- One IEC cable (kettle plug) to power everything.
- Clean, low noise sound
- Low profile

CONS
- Output placements might be inconvenient for certain pedalboards
- Dip switch placement might also be inconvenient for certain pedalboards

As far as handling, the 1 Spot Pro CS6 delivers clean and reliable power. Pedalboards are all different though, so make sure you have enough current draw for YOUR pedals and that the dimensions are correct and that you can easily access the outputs and dip switches.

The best CIOKS DC7 alternative on a budget
skadiven 19.05.2020
Although not as powerful as the DC7, this humble little power supply can fit under the tiniest pedaltrain boards and power a huge variety of pedals including DSP intense strymons and eventides, HX stomps as well as small analog boosts and overdrives without fault.
The fact that it includes all necessary adaptors and cables in the box was a truly great added bonus!

Best power supply for the money!

R
Truetone CS6 power supply
RichH 04.09.2020
Use: to power a small pedal board, with no issues or noise, and it is working well!

Pros: works well, noticeably less background noise than my old unit

Cons: none really, assuming it has enough output for the pedals you need to use - if not, alternatives are available

Summary: I've only had it a couple of weeks at this point, but it is reassuring to have a quality PSU on my pedalboard, and time will tell, but all indications so far are that this is well made and tested, so I'm confident it should be reliable in the longer term.
