Thomann Tam Tam Stand 70cm

OK - so I ordered 2 of these stands for part of an installation. I had been let down by a fabricator and this seemed to be the next best option with time running out. Te stands arrived individually boxed, with both boxes shipped together, wrapped in paper in a larger box.
The first problem is that the individually boxed stands hand zero padding and had therefore bashed into one another in the box leaving some cosmetic marks and scratches.
The 2nd issue arose when constructing the stands. On both stands there was lacking any way to secure the uprights... No thread where the top part slides into the bottom, yet the part to secure it is a hand-tightened bolt/screw...
This is a pretty major issue and the only way for me to use it in time was to drill extra holes in the stand, for new bolts and nuts which I fortunately had already. Aside from this, whilst putting them together I noticed numerous unfinished areas, oddly angled welds and slivers of metal than shouldn't have been present had these been made properly. In short - Not a great standard and I had to finish them myself which obviously voids any warranty. Typically good / swift postage from Thomann.

Utilisé depuis plus de 4 ans en orchestre et transporté plus de 12 fois par an en camion, ce support de gong léger est encore en très bon état, il n'y a pas de trace de rouille bien que la peinture soit de mauvaise qualité.
Les finitions n?étaient pas au rendez-vous à la réception, prévoyez au montage du frein filet sur les vis des crochets supérieurs et de la colle sur les caoutchoucs de finitions.
A noter que les roulettes sont très low cost, il faudra le transporter avec soin.

Même si les finitions ne sont pas au top, ce stand fait largement l'affaire après plus de 4 ans d'utilisation, si vous le préparez correctement au premier montage; le mécanisme de réglage en hauteur est fiable.
C'est donc un bon rapport robustesse/prix et un produit idéal pour les orchestres amateurs.

Das Aufbauen ging recht schnell und problemlos und der Ständer ist auch grundsolide. Ich habe ein 24" breites Zildjian Gongsheet daran aufgehängt, bei Gebrauch wackelt nix.

Aber wie meine Vorredner schon schrieben: das Teil ist definitiv nichts für den Gig-Alltag. Die Lackierung ist so empfindlich, dass diese schon von der Lieferung im Karton Schäden hatte. Auch beim Zusammenbau sollte man aufpassen, dass die Stangen nicht aus Versehen gegeneinanderschlagen, da dann unweigerlich Lack abplatzt.

Ich habe ihn im Probenraum aufgebaut und dort wird er auch bleiben, für einen Transport zum Gig ist der Lack viel zu empfindlich.

Mein Fazit: guter Ansatz, da sehr stabil, auch die Verarbeitung der Einzelteile ist gut, allein die Lackierung macht den Ständer untauglich für eine andere Verwendung als "stationär" im Probenraum. In Relation zu den wesentlich teureren Ständern von z.B. Paiste oder Meinl stimmt der Preis.

Das Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis ist ok. Der Lack blättert extrem stark ab. Das ist sehr schlecht wenn man den Ständer öfters auf und ab bauen muss. Die Rollen lassen sich schwer richtig fest schrauben und so kann es schonmal passieren das diese abfallen bei längeren Strecken. Der Abstand vom Gong zum Rahmen ist sehr gering, dies kann evtl. beim intensiven Spiel ein Problem werden. Die Gongaufhängung lässt sich ebenfalls schwer richtig fest ziehen und so klirrt beim Spielen die Mutter mit was sehr blöd ist. Die drei Höhenmöglichkeiten passen leider alle nicht optimal bei mir. So habe ich mir nun doch einen teureren Ständer von Meinl gekauft. Ich denke aber für den Preis ist der Ständer ok.
