Beautiful instrument, but I couldn't make a sound with it
daniel.vinklar 02.08.2020
Beware. Shakuhachi is a very difficult instrument to play. The flute which arrived was beautiful, a tru craftsmanship from a master, really a beautiful object to look at or to hold in hands. But I watched so many videos on YouTube on how to produce. a sound and still, during 2 weeks of trying I couldn't succeed. (PS I am playing various other types of flutes with no problem.) Eventually my frustration rose too high, and I realized I couldn't afford this beautiful flute just for looking. So with heavy heart I returned it. I am sure, for those who can actually play shakuhachi, it will be a beautiful instrument.

Beautifull sound

This flute has a nice deep sound, and in it's self it's pretty well tuned, so if you just gonna use it for solo or meditative playing it's quite alright. If you want to play with others or maybe with backing tracks you might encounter some difficulties: mine is quite "flat" tuned, and it took me
a long time to learn to compensate that with breath and embouchure . Now it's my favourite flute.

Kauf ohne Reue

2 = re
3 = re#
4 = mi
5 = fa
6 = sol
7 = sol#
8 = la
