When I first received my ocarina, I was pleasantly surprised by its size: it's a LOT bigger than what it looks like on the picture (anybody who has used online dating will tell you that *is* unusual*). The shrill sound that comes from it is a little unnerving after a while however, and I ended up giving this piece away as a gift to a friend of mine, because it was a little confusing to learn for me. Still, a very well made object, with a lot of heft and many hours of musical fun crammed into it. Worth it if you're looking for a nifty gift, too!
