Signal amplifier and antenna splitter

The t.bone Free Solo Antenna Splitter is a four-channel active antenna splitter that can be used to operate several wireless systems at the same time with just two antennae. The real benefit of the t.bone, however, lies in its compatibility with third-party wireless systems that operate in the UHF frequency range of 470MHz to 865Mhz, meaning that it is in no way confined to its own radio paths. The manner in which the device works is quickly explained: The antenna splitter picks up the signal from two antennae and distributes it to four pairs of antenna outputs, which can then be connected to compatible receivers. The use of the splitter thus negates the need for users to have a large number of individual antennae in their rack if several wireless systems are being used at the same time.

Central power supply included

In addition to two inputs for the associated BNC antennae, the t.bone Free Solo Antenna Splitter is also equipped with eight antenna outputs, which can be used to supply four wireless systems featuring a diversity function with antenna signals. The antennae included in the delivery are omnidirectional rotatable and swivel antennae, which are correspondingly easy to align. Directly next to the socket for connecting up the included power supply unit are four power supply ports, which serve as a central power supply for up to four receivers, delivering 12 volts of power at an amperage of 600mA in each case. In addition to the 12V power supply unit and the antennae, the scope of delivery also includes ten antenna cables with BNC connectors.

For fans of tidy wireless racks

Anyone who operates multiple wireless systems in parallel and opts for the t.bone Free Solo Antenna Splitter will have no problem keeping their rack tidy. Fans of uncomplicated cable routing will also appreciate the splitter's ability to power multiple wireless receivers from a central supply, while users looking to accommodate the splitter in a 19" rack can accomplish this with ease courtesy of the built-in rack ears, the single height unit (1U) requirement, and an installation depth of just 16cm, which provides sufficient space in the rack for the splitter's cabling. When transporting the splitter to a gig, users should also take into account that it weighs 2kg.

About the t.bone

Since 1994, the t.bone has been one of Thomann’s in-house brands, and its name can be found on devices such as headphones, wireless systems, in-ear equipment, and various microphones and matching accessories. “the t.bone” products are made exclusively by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. This provides a clear advantage: Brand-quality products at very reasonable prices. And word gets around: One in seven Thomann customers has already bought at least one product from the t.bone.

Freedom of movement without tangled cables

Radio signal distribution is ensured by the t.bone Free Solo Antenna Splitter in the frequency ranges of 470MHz to 608MHz, 614MHz to 694MHz, 823MHz to 832MHz, and 863MHz to 865MHz. The device can not only be used with the rod antennae supplied, but also with directional antennae such as the t.bone Free Solo Paddle, which can be attached to separate stands to provide even better reception in adverse conditions. As is appropriate for a rack device that seeks to simplify the operation of complex systems, the power switch is located on the front, allowing the antenna splitter to be switched on and off with ease when accommodated in a rack. It should, however, be noted that this switch is for the splitter only and does not interrupt the power supply to the connected wireless systems, which must therefore be switched on and off separately.

C
Works flawlessly with Sennheiser wireless diversity gear at a fraction of cost
Clemcohen 26.01.2015
Used this to connect 3 sennheiser Xsw wireless units in a rack plus 1 LD dual wireless mic unit. Please note that the power supply plugs will not work reliably on the sennheiser gear so either you will have to chop off the ends of the sennheiser power supply and adapt the supplied power cables or continue and use the original sennheiser power supplies.

LD power socket fits perfectly, so no problem here but you will need TNC to BNC adapters to connect the antenna to the LD kit which is currently not sold by Thomann. Try Conrad.

Rack kit is included for front mounted antenna. Simple and easy to install.

AP
Amazing splitter!
Atanas P. 04.04.2018
I'm really glad to own one of those. Really solid and stable. The UHF wideband 450-900 MHz helps me to combine all my receivers in just one splitter. Also the boost helps my range dramatically. Works on 12v DC power so I can use it on my location sound cart. Really good product.

T
Great Antenna Distributor
TechnD73 26.09.2021
Equal to, if not better than some of the more well known competitors. Everything in the box to distribute to 4 receivers with bnc antenna. Boosts my UHF units with noticeable range extension and clarity even without paddles, which I was tempted to purchase but not required at present.

Does what it says
Rob W. 06.11.2017
I was frankly sceptical about buying these antenna disrtro units as the price was considerably less than an equivalent Sennheiser product. I needn't have worried, once again Thomann have come up trumps with a great value product that performs well. I already have 2 and will be buying more as I expand my radio mic collection
