Pro: the violin was completely out of tune and I also had to adjust the position of the strings on the bridge so to be equal for all strings. Fortunately there were some little knobs on the bridge to guide me. Once I did that, it stayed in tune and this is positive. The violin comes with a nylon hard case, with place for two bows, a rosin drawer, an external zip pocket and even a shoulder strap for easy carriage.
Cons: the included rosin was broken, old, dried and a low quality one. Some bow hair remained loose even when the bow was properly tighten. I had to cut the loose hair off from both sides with nail scissors. The bow hair was not flat but quite uneven, which made very difficult to get a good tone and discouraged me (I am a beginner and did not know about all these problems).
Conclusion: this violin is sufficient for someone who is just starting out, can't or doesn't want to spend more and does not care of little aesthetic imperfections, which do not affect the sound or playability. But I can't say this set is ready to go.
Basically for this price you get the violin only, do not expect more than that. If you wish to get the best possible sound from this violin, you will also need to either rehair the bow (not easy to do it yourself!) or buy a better bow (easiest solution if there are no luthiers in your area). Couple that with higher quality rosin and change the strings with a good brand and you will have a playable violin. But it adds to the price.
