Space saving patch cables with absolutely no compromise in quality.

Trying to squeeze more pedals together on your board? Look no further!
I hadn't heard of Sommer cables before I found them on Thomann, I originally bought a couple just to test out a cheaper cable with the flatter pan-shaped jacks, and ended up buying a whole set after my experience. I've even now ordered a full-length guitar cable because I am so impressed with the build and sound quality.
These cables really allow you to push your effects pedals closer together, they're a great space-saving tool but don't compromise on sound or build quality. The jacks themselves are very robust and you'd have to be the Hulk to be able to pull the cable from the jack. It's not really a concern as these are patch cables and very rarely are subject to such forces, but it definitely gives you peace of mind when they are made so well.
The signal quality actually improved when I plugged all my sommer cables in to my signal chain. I was using a mixture of other manufacturer's cables that I had accumulated over a few years, all of which worked fine, but never underestimate what a brand new set of well-made (with well selected parts) cables can do for your signal.
I'm very impressed with these patch cables, although my wife isn't... because now I have extra room on my pedal board for more pedals to buy. :P

Best quality pedal board connection cable
FARROKH 23.03.2014
I have been playing guitar for more than 20 years and I have a very good quality gear, so, any low quality piece of gear (pedals, cables, ...) would ruin my sound quality. I wanted a pedal board connection cable that does not add noise to my rig, and these cables are the answer.
There are two main features about this cable that I really like to highlight:
1) I bought 2 pieces of these cables to add 2 new pedals into my rig. I am very pleased because I noticed that after adding these pedals using this cable, the sound quality didn't change at all! There is No noise, and the tone didn't get muddy or darken, unlike other cables that I had tried. So, I am considering to change all my pedal pedal board connector cables with these nice cables.
2) The cable IS flexible (you can bend and shape it as you like), but once you shaped it will remain in that shape. For example, if you are connecting two pedals that the output of one and input of the other are both located on sides of the pedals, the cable gets the U form and REMAINS in that shape. For pedal board it is a very good feature, but if you are trying to buy it and use it all the time for different applications, I don't recommend that.
Any way, I am very pleased.
Thank you Thomman :)

Great for bass
Cesar593 15.10.2017
This is truly a high quality patch cable! The jack connections are very sturdy and the extra shielding ensures you won't have any interferences whatsoever! The thicker cross.section translates in a better transmission of the lower frequencies, that will simply disappear with thinner cables. It won't boost your lows, of course, but it ensures a more linear sound. So, it's great for bass, and other instruments, of course.

very strong, no noise
no complains except the fact that the metal "pancake" is too big for connectig Left and Right on some pedals or instruments
