Reliable and effective digital receiver

The powerful Sennheiser EM 6000 Dante is a two-channel digital receiver designed for live productions and transmissions which ensures a high level of signal stability and reliability, even in environments with high radio-wave density. Thanks to its equidistant frequency grid and "True Bit Diversity" technology, the EM 6000 Dante offers unrivalled spectral efficiency and is easy to configure. The receiver features a "Long Range" (LR) mode as well as the proprietary SeDAC audio codec found on the legendary Digital-9000 series. The system is equipped with an Audinate Brooklyn II expansion card to integrate the EM 6000 into Dante audio networks. Furthermore, the system includes user-friendly functionalities designed for practical use, such as "Auto-Setup", which simplifies the configuration and general operation of the system.

No mercy for signal errors

The Sennheiser EM 6000 is straightforward to set up and is intermodulation-free. The equidistant frequency grid ensures excellent spectral efficiency, enabling a high channel density. Operating in a frequency bandwidth of 244MHz and AES-256 encryption, the receiver incorporates the "Link Density" (LD) mode along with the efficient SePAC audio codec, ensuring up to five channels per MHz of bandwidth. Signal cleanliness is maintained thanks to auto-correction functions and selective filtering, which promptly detect and rectify any issues with the signal. Additionally, 32 highly selective HF pre-filters, working directly at the antenna output of the EM 6000, effectively suppress any unwanted signals.

The Sennheiser EM 6000 combines intelligent menus, a user-friendly interface, and high-contrast OLED displays. All the main parameters appear on the displays, and important functions are readily accessible without intricate menu navigation. The Auto-Setup function facilitates frequency scans and the distribution of all connected units to the receiver. Moreover, configuration can be effortlessly managed via the Wireless System Manager (WSM), which allows precise operation even in challenging live conditions.

About Sennheiser

In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the MD 441 microphone classic, hugely enhanced the company’s international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.

Integrates into existing configurations

In terms of connectivity, the EM 6000 Dante features a digital AES3 output, two RJ-45 sockets for connecting to Dante networks, a word clock input and output, transformer-balanced XLR sockets, and high-quality 6.35mm jack connections, along with a headphone output in the same format. All these features allow the powerful two-channel digital receiver to seamlessly integrate into a vast number of audio configurations, whether digital or analogue. The EM 6000 is compatible with Sennheiser's standard UHF antenna system and features an integrated antenna splitter for cascading up to eight devices. Furthermore, the EM 6000 is compatible with the Digital-9000 series digital transmitters when "Long Range" (LR) mode is activated.
