Here is my experience:
I was changing the bridge for a Japanese copy of Gibson Les Paul of 1978.
Though I measured the existing bridge, I didn't disassemble the guitar to measure if holes for existing bushings match the diameter of bushings for this bridge and of course it didn't.
The original holes were much bigger. Anyway, to extract existing bushings I had to drill out the bolts and once that was done, the only solution was to make the new threading in the existing bushings. Fortunately I had the tools and the problem was solved.
In summary: I used old bushing making new threading in them, then i screwed in the bridge support and put the new bridge on top.
The rest (tuning the distance between strings, bridge height etc) was easy.
Good product, but check compatibility
