Presonus StudioLive Shelf Mount

If you use Presonus equipment you might well know that you can use iPad's or Android devices for many tasks including control of remote mixers and other uses.

I use a Presonus Studio Live 32 desk and AVB network, along with SW5E switches and other Presonus gear. I had some 'arms' that I bought historically to hold three devices behind my mixer - at the time these units were not available. Those were OK but they had their problems.

The real Presonus shelf mount is exceptional. While we can all look at it and manybe think its 'just' bent metal, I can tell you that's afr from the point. These shelves have exactly the right screws fitted for fixing to the StudioLive 32s mixer and mount very well indeed. The shelf itself is covered in rubber sheeting and will protect anything that gets placed on there. I bought three of these and there's already a shelf on the mixer for a forth if I need it.

If you have not used iPads or Android devices with the StudioLive you're missing out big time! These shelves allow me to get things really well set up. My studio is a permanent installation so for me the location of these platforms is perfect, but if you are one that plugs in and removes cables all the time that might be problematic to you although as I said in my case these are brilliant.

The price is not super low, but the stands I had previously which were generic cost over £25.00 each so it was a really good time to buy three of these while my studio is being upgraded. These mounts you will buy once and the chances of wear and tear is pretty much zero.

It's unlikely you will have anything fail at any time on this mounting.

Overall, if you tried other means of holding the iPads or Android devices before then these are an incredible upgrade of that there is no doubt and for me the cost is actually pretty good.

Recommended item if you use the Presonus system.

Die Ablagen für das gesponserte Pult sind solide, schwerer als gedacht und halten dank der U-Falz an der Unterkante und Gummiauflage auch ein relativ schweres Notebook sicher fest.

Nur die Montage könnte ein bißchen weniger fummelig sein, weil man die Schraublöcher schon genau treffen muß. Ein kleiner Anschlag, eine Führungsfalz oder eine Raste am Pult würden da helfen.

Da sich allerdings das Mischpult StudioLive (32SX) aufgrund fehlender m.E. für einen Livebetrieb zwingend notwendiger Basisfunktionen sowie zu vieler Firmware- und Softwarebugs wieder zurückgeht (z.B. keine Balanceregelung im Main Out, widersprüchliche und zum Teil fehlerhafte App UC Surface, undurschschaubares Routing, kein Bypass für die FX-Plugins, Panning nur über die Mono-Eingangssignale möglich, DCA-Gruppen gehen nicht auf FX Sends), keine Möglichkeit Monitorwege ohne Kanal-Delays auszuspielen, Routingeinstellungen die ohne Fehlerhinweis einfach so verloren gehen), sind die beiden Bleche für mich nutzlos geworden und gehen ebenfalls zurück.
