I got a set of these for one of my students 3/4 size violin. They're a good alternative and value for money if you don't necessarily want to pay out more for a good set of dominants. I went for these because the student wouldn't be on the 3/4 size for much longer and couldn't justify paying out more for a set that might only be in use for another couple of months. These were great value for money without compromising on sound or response.

A good upgrade for cheap violins
Duzinga 18.03.2023
I fitted these to my daughter’s 1/2 violin, and it was quite an upgrade. The violin has a significantly better sound with these. They are also quite a bit louder than the old strings.
The strings unfortunately have a very low metallic sound trailing them.

Bought to replace Stentor SR1500 1/2 factory srings, these Pirastro Tonica strings sounds much more better than factory one. The price is also good.
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.
