I had tired of my Pearl eliminator pedal, and was using my Tama one instead, as it seems better made and is more adjustable (the one Pearl weakness is that you can not adjust the pedal angle, and every time you change cams, the angle changes). However, I love experimenting and so I bought the yellow and purple cams. Even though normally I prefer the Black round cam, the blue and red not doing anything for me, for some reason the purple cam is superb. It is in between the blue and red, and yet it is truly a different feel altogether. I usually find power cams lack power when playing short quick notes, they are powerful when blasting away, but not for quick sensitive stuff. However, with the purple cam, I found it really sensitive and a truly great feel. For the price of a cam, if you have this pedal, spend the extra few quid and try this out.

Pearl Cam-PL Eliminator Cam

I recently bought the Pearl Eliminator Double Pedal and I thought I would add the purple cam set. To be honest I bought theses on a whim. They were purple and purple is a cool colour, right?
Any way, after a quick set up of my new double pedal I added the purple cams on.
The feel and response is absolutely amazing, i was instantly happy with my purchase, makes a very responsive pedal feel even greater. i seriously recommend people try the purple cam set from pearl.
I play mostly metal music and for double kick work these are a welcome addition! try em!! :)

Das "Zwischending"

Ich habe mir bereits 2005 zwei PEARL P-2000C gekauft, weil ich von der Flexibilität, die mir diese Pedale bieten begeistert war und immernoch bin.
Inzwischen habe ich mir noch die Erweiterung P-2001C zugelegt, um an meinem E-Drumset vernünftig Doublebass spielen zu können und auch gleich diese Purple Cams installiert. Der Tausch von den roten auf die purpurnen Cams war denkbar einfach, innerhalb von Sekunden auf beiden Seiten durchgeführt.
Gestern habe ich dann das erste mal wirklich mehrere Stunden am Stück gespielt und bin vollkommen begeistert vom Ansprechverhalten. Die Fußmaschine läuft äusserst geschmeidig und hat dennoch viel Speed und ausreichend Punch. Ich werde ich absehbarer Zeit sicher noch einmal auf die roten Cams wechseln, um den Unterschied beurteilen zu können, aber ich bin mit der Purple Cam sehr zufrieden, als Zwischending, zwischen der blaune und der roten Cam. Kann ich jedem empfehlen, der sich nicht ganz sicher ist, ob er die extrem progressive, rote Cam wirklich benötigt.
Qualitativ ist PEARL-Typisch nichts auszusetzen. Alles passt perfekt und ist schnell getauscht. Ich liebe meine Eliminator-Pedale.
