Decided to upgrade from the 2M Bronze and pleased with the results for sure. Listened first to Joni Mitchell Ladies of the Canyon and then my favourite LP if all The Song Remains The Same. The 2M black digs more detail out of the groove and separates the vocals and other instrumentation to a level I haven't had before. It's not a radical change from the 2M Bronze, but certainly worthwhile. On the live Zep album, concentrating on Bonham's drumming, I found myself appreciating his fills while loving Page's solos in a different part of the soundstage. I am running mostly vintage British kit, Linn speakers, Onix amps, with a Thorens/SME deck. Upgrading the source, i.e. the point closest to the groove is definitely more worthwhile than spending fortunes in the amp/speaker department.

Famous enough 2M Black.

I had the Bronze already, so it was very easy to swap in the Black stylus.
Unlike most reviewers out there, I found it very easy to set up. No more difficult than the Bronze.
Also, unlike most reviewers, I found the Black slightly more laid back than the Bronze, but in a good way such that the music gels slightly better.
The Shibata stylus SHOULD be somewhat less detailed than the fine-line one in the Bronze, except the Shibata has a slightly tighter side radius. So comparing apples to oranges in a way.
Still early days though, but so far so good!

True upgrade from the bronce. Deeper notes better bass! Superb for the price. On my 3 turntables the black remains superior to GRADO and other more expenssive alternatives. Great durability
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.

Hatte das 2m Blue, Bronce und jetzt das Black. Toller, voller Sound. Klarer Bass und Bühnendarstellung. Stimmen gewinnen gegenüber dem Bronce enorm. Sehr einfaches Wechseln über den Nadeleinschub. Bin sehr zufrieden. Das 2M Black spielt souverän alle Musikrichtungen durch. Bei mir am Phono Pre Rega Aria
