Un instrumento divertido y didáctico
Nesu_ferati 28.12.2020

Potentially interesting instrument to be used to get kids used to a clarinet and saxophone embouchure, nonetheless, it need to be played with the correct plastic or bambou reed (only one is provided at 1 and 1/2 ) otherwise the sound is awful and full of involuntary ‘beeps’ and notes out of tune. I would advice to add at least 3-4 different plastic reeds to allow players to find the one that best adapts to provide the best trade off between correct tuning and easiness of play to generate beautiful sound. I have tried to play it with a plastic reeds no.1, no.1 and 1/2 and no. 2 (see of them from my Jsax) and I am still not happy with the sound, either too dark but in tune or too’ screamy’ and out of tune. I have not been able to find out either if I needed thicker or thinner reeds to get an acceptable sound that does not drive my family crazy and willing to sack me out of our home. I also believe the reeds are not always well adjusted and solid attached by the plastic elastic grip to the mouthpiece and they have some motion that might be responsible for high pitch uncontrolled sound?.I have also tried with bambou soprano sax professional reeds Vandoreen and Rico , 2 and 1/2 and 2 or clarinet reeds Vandoren 2 and 1/2 and I cannot say I succeeded. Not sure this instrument, although inexpensive, it is worth its value and might help kids or beginners to learn and love music and sound. The instrument has a lot of potential but what to do to produce a more acceptable and a better interesting sound, even for kids or beginners? Any advice?

Zweck erfüllt - nicht mehr und nicht weniger
Nyck 10.05.2021

Davvero consigliato.
