This is good quality for a budget stand and pad. Unfortunately, the hi-hat pressure control is not compatible with my Alesis Nirtromesh (it never claimed to be!), but I managed to rig it to work with the original pressure switch.
A much more realistic hi-hat than the fixed pads supplied with budget e-kits .

Millennium MPS-750S Hi-Hat Pad

You guys are awesome. I bought this Hi-Hat Pad as an experiment to see if my non-Millennium drum kit could be retrofitted with a real feeling Hi-Hat pad, just as I did with the Kick pad that I purchased a little over a month ago. Not only did this pad exceed my expectations in quality, it is working almost flawlessly with my drum module. Some of this may be due to just needing more tweaking in regards to getting the pad to bark more consistently, or adjusting my playing style. I have had to adjust my volume on the module some, in order to match the rest of my kit, hence the slightly lower score on noise emission.
I’m sure that I could have spent well over twice as much for a pad alone not including the stand that comes with it. I am also impressed with the speed of delivery, from your door to mine in Kansas City, USA in two days is incredible. I have been so please working with you, that I will probably be buying a Millennium kit from you in the future.

Good hi hat while it lasts

I've had this hi hat twice now, and the first time it broke within two years, and now the second time it broke in just a few months.
The first time the bottom section of the upper part literally broke off, and the second time it stopped detecting being closed, which of of course makes it unplayable.
While it lasts its a good hihat pad, and I like it, but its just not sturdy enough to last normal playing for a longer time.
The stand is okay, nothing great, but decent for use.
I hope Thomann sends me a second replacement.

Hier nun ist eine richtige Hi Hat, die auf und nieder geht, die ein sehr gutes Spielgefühl hat und welche nun das alte Kit auf den neuesten Stand bringt.
Es ist schade, dass diese Hi Hat bei anderen Fabrikaten nicht funktioniert, somit man also nicht damit ein E-Drum-Kit eines anderen Herstellers aufwerten kann.

The original version of the MPS 750x only had the Hi Hat solution that is normal for other manufacturers in the price range under 1200 EUR - a small cymbal pad and a foot controller. Here is a real hi hat that goes up and down, has a very good feel and brings the old kit up to date. It's a shame that this hi hat doesn't work with other brands, so you can't use it to upgrade an e-drum kit from another manufacturer.
