Exactly what I needed!
Ashesborn 28.08.2021
I didn't want to get a black arm for my studio setup, and this one was a perfect choice. Not only does it look great, it is also very sturdy. A built-in XLR cable is a big plus; saves me the bother of trying to neatly secure one. All in all, quite a steal for the price.

I have to note that it will probably not be a great fit for someone who needs to frequently re-adjust the height of their mic on the fly, as this arm is quite heavy-duty and springs right up the moment you loosen the knobs a bit.

Just okay

Bought it for the color (didn't want black). Use it for webinars and large conference calls, interviews. It's good as a "static arm" that stays in place, but it is not very flexible. There are no springs so you place it, tighten the dials and that's it. If you need to move the arm frequently I'd suggest the rode arm or the k&m.

Nice stand, strange springing
SynchroM 10.06.2019
This is exactly what I needed - I have a sit-stand desk, and floor-standing mic stands are a right pain to use with it. I have a couple of minor niggles with it.

Where the aluminium tubes attach to the middle joint, they are a bit loose & wobbly, though this isn't noticeable in normal use. The tubes and joints themselves are very solid.

The internal springing mechanism seems to be designed to counterbalance very heavy mics as it's really quite excessive - if I undo the locking knobs, the whole thing springs upright quite violently. You end up having to push it quite hard to lower it, and then tighten the knobs a lot to keep it in place - if they are loose, it will move upwards. I guess the idea is that the springs take the load rather than the clutches, but it's too much for a regular size capacitor mic (around 250g). This makes it quite tricky to adjust. There is a screw with an alternative position that looks like it might allow for a different position for the spring, but I think it would only allow me to make it stronger rather than weaker, and I didn't want to risk a springy explosion by taking it apart!

The section of cable at the top end is longer than it needs to be for me, but I couldn't see how to pull through some of the slack; it's all very firmly attached in there.

l
the arm is ok
luis-eire 15.12.2020
// background - dj / drummer / bass player background - i use only floor stands and this is my first table arm - it was meant for my backup setup

off the box it felt like it was opened before or repackaged - there were scratches and marks around in a few places of the arm - looks slick but doesn't have as much movement as other arms and for a couple euro the rode arm is a much better solution - the built in xlr cable was a sell point for me but doesn't make it for the fact the clamp isn't the most sturdy and if you work it out, it ends up un-clamping, with simple back and forth movent

i do not recommend this mic arm

// thomann offered to take the hole bundle back ( mic / arm / earphones ) but the conditions were not to my liking - i own up to my choice and will keep the gear, but i will avoid shopping with thoman in the future and will not recommend it to friends and colleagues
