This Millenium arm is just the job for what is required of it. a link between sub and top. It, unlike a lot of tripods and speakers stands, does not require you to lift and put in a safety bar and safety cable to get up to the height you want. It has a click in button that will securely hold the bar at a few pre-determined heights marked by holes on the internal bar.
The piece itself is very robust and can stand up to the constant barrage of transfer in and out of vans and venues. The only criticism I think I would have for this product is that it is simply too large for some venues. We play in myriad venues in small towns in Ireland, some have VERY low ceilings. Even on the lowest setting your tops are quite high in the air. This, unfortunately requires us to bring tripods with us everywhere as well, just in case their is a clearance issue. Although this is as much a problem with Irish architecture as much as it is the stand!

Good solid poles and the lock mechanism is excellent.
Rinaldo U. 07.12.2013
These are good solid speaker poles and have a very good locking mechanism which does not scratch the pole in any way. Additional handwheel for safety. You will find that the bottom of the pole may be a bit loose in in some kinds of subwoofer but to be honest that is a problem with most poles anyway, unless you go for a K&M with the adjustable mandrel, but those are a lot more expensive than these. To solve this just wrap a few turns of gaffa tape neatly around the pole base, you will need to experiment with the right quantity, once this is done you will not have a problem with wobbly poles. I would recommend these poles as a cheaper alternative to K&M but still high quality and sturdy.
