I play Afro Cuban, Latin Jazz, funk, and folkloric, these bongos work brilliantly for all styles.
Most importantly, sound quality - excellent! Cutting slaps, and lovely open tones and bass response (as far as it goes with a bongo).
The components and finish are exceptional.
My only criticism is that it's not possible to change the angle at which the lugs meet the head, this means if playing in a traditional between the legs way, you can have the lug pushed against your leg in an uncomfortable way. Also the bongos are quite heavy so might suit a stand better, however I still manage to play in a traditional seated way without too much trouble.
Overall, excellent and would buy again.

Producto verdaderamente valioso y profesional, esta marca ofrece maravillosos instrumentos de percusión no solo estéticamente, color, forma sino también en la madera que utilizan, el material es realmente excelente la única nota que hago es que los parches me parecen tal vez demasiado finos pero el resto son bongos absolutamente perfectos, los recomiendo absolutamente, yo no paro de tocar y grabar con ellossiempre que puedo. Una vez mas Meinl me ha sorprendido muy gratamente.

die Meinl Bongos haben in der Höhe und Tiefe einen super Klang; die echt gute Verarbeitung ist auch Meinl-Standard; hat im ersten Konzerteinsatz und bei den ersten Proben sehr gut geklunge; gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis; auch im Profieinsatz empfehlenswertes Instrument, der passende Ständer dazu bietet sehr guten Halt, Standfestigkeit und Bongos sind sehr schnell angebaut.
