Sounds All Good
Nyli 12.03.2014
I bought these strings for my electro acoustic classical guitar. I use the guitar mainly for songwriting/dabbling with at home, and sometimes take it to my music workshops in schools and colleges.......
I re-strung the guitar with them no problems....
The tone and playability is really nice and on my guitar they have nice sustain, and sound nice and bright......
They area good price, and i would consider them good value....

Attention ball end!

The strings didn’t last one month, compared with other main brands I’m very unsatisfied with this pack: the bottom strings loose their tone after three weeks of normal playing (5-8 hours p/w) and now after 6 weeks I have to change them they don’t tune well anymore. Attention they have ball end!

Cheap for a reason...
GTR 02.10.2015
I got these streings for a cheap elctro-classic guitar I own.

The good thing about these strings is that they are ball ended so fitting is easy. Also the sound was nice and bright when new and a bit louder.

BUT, after a day the colour deteriorated and the sound darkened.

I would expect them to last a bit longer than that...

Okay strings for the price
Acoffeewithsatan 26.05.2024
I suppose I’m turning old when I’ll have to settle for these for the price that would’ve bought me a set of the much better D’Addario classical strings not that long ago, yet moving on…

These strings by Martin are alright. Not bad by any means, yet not brilliant either. It clearly shows these are likely generic strings Martin slaps their brand name on, though, as there’s no particular quality or differentiating aspect about them that sets them apart and make them a solid choice for any other reason beside the price (well, perhaps apart from the fact they have ball ends if that’s something you need).

They sound okay, but not bright not particularly vibrant, either. They won’t bring the best tonal properties of your guitar, but they’re far from the worst classical strings I’ve ever got to try (as far as brand-name strings go, I’ll go ahead and attribute the (dis)honourable award to Rotosound).

If you’re on a budget, or the convenience of the ball ends is a must, then by all means! go ahead, yet I’d spend a buck more and go the next tier up, namely, in the Ernie Ball field of things…
