Pro-quality recording made affordable

The Lewitt LCT 240 PRO is an affordable yet high-performance large-diaphragm condenser microphone, designed to make professional-grade recording accessible to all musicians, producers, and content creators. Capable of handling extreme sound pressure levels, it captures even the loudest sources without distortion. Its balanced cardioid polar pattern rejects off-axis noise effectively, making it an ideal choice for untreated home studios and other challenging acoustic environments. Built with a durable zinc die-cast body, the LCT 240 PRO combines robust construction with lightweight portability. Included accessories such as a carrying pouch, windscreen, and mic clip ensure that users have everything needed to begin recording high-quality audio right out of the box for a hassle-free setup. This bundle includes a dedicated elastic shockmount, which helps to reduce unwanted mechanical noise and vibrations, such as footsteps.

Impressive specifications

The Lewitt LCT 240 PRO features a gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm, capable of reproducing frequencies across the entire human hearing range, with subtle boosts at 10kHz and 16kHz, which enhance clarity and sibilance. Its maximum SPL of 142dB and dynamic range of 123dB ensure distortion-free recordings, even when capturing high-energy sources. It requires 48V phantom power and connects via a standard three-pin XLR cable (sold separately) to audio interfaces or mixing consoles. A closer look at the polar pattern reveals an impressively uniform cardioid characteristic, delivering a smooth and balanced sound across the frequency spectrum. Weighing just 310g, its lightweight yet durable design allows for flexible placement for both studio and live environments, making it a reliable choice for a wide range of recording scenarios.

For shared environments or multi-vocalist sessions, optional accessories such as the Lewitt LCT 44 WX pop filter provide additional customisation for consistent high-quality recordings. About Lewitt

Founded in Vienna in 2010, the midsize Austrian company Lewitt describes itself as the world's fastest-growing microphone brand, and indeed Lewitt has quickly made a name for itself among producers. The reason: The firm has a passionate team that produces remarkably transparent-sounding condenser microphones with low self-noise. Development takes place in Austria, but by producing the microphones in China, among other factors, Lewitt can offer its high-quality products at extremely low prices.

Experimenting with the proximity effect

The Lewitt LCT 240 PRO performs impressively across a variety of recording scenarios, delivering outstanding results for vocals, instruments, and live performances. Standing around 15cm from the capsule ensures optimum clarity and balance in vocal recordings, while the Lewitt LCT 50 PSx pop filter effectively reduces plosive sounds and moisture. Careful gain adjustment helps prevent distortion during loud passages, ensuring clean and professional recordings. Speaking into the microphone at a short distance enhances the voice's low-end warmth and creates what is known as the proximity effect - particularly useful when creating engaging audition videos or podcasts. Adjusting microphone placement and room acoustics allows users to fine-tune tonal balance and bass response for any application. In addition to vocals, the LCT 240 PRO excels on snare drums, cymbals, drum overheads, acoustic guitars, and string instruments - and being equally at home in both studio and live settings, the LCT 240 PRO offers remarkable versatility for any performance scenario.

A
Awesome mic for the price
AndrewTelles 09.04.2020
I've owned this mic for 2.5 years and I've had great luck with it. The build quality is superb, the sound is fantastic, and the shock mount that comes with it is great. I wish it had a built-in roll off, but it's not a necessity for me. This is the first Lewitt mic I've owned and honestly, I enjoy it's sound more than the Rode NT1A I have. The next mic purchase I make, will most certainly be another Lewitt. If you're in the market for a good quality condenser for vocals, acoustic instruments, or even drums, do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

r
Great for acoustic guitar
rznrg 20.01.2023
I am new to recording with microphone, so bear this in mind with my review.

Build quality: really sturdy
Frequency response: from what I can tell it boosts the highs a little
For amps: it gave back pretty much the original sound of the amp, so satisfied with it
For acoustic guitar: I liked the sound of recording acoustic guitar the best. It was really nice to hear it back
Vocals: I have a pretty low voice, so for my voice it is actually good that is brings out a little more highs :)

I have been using the microphone for 1 year, I haven't had a problem so far.I can tell that the microphone has a high pitched character, I don't know if it's caused by the acoustic in my room, but I feel like I'm getting deep sound,Other than that, I can call it a nice start microphone
