Nice improved synthetic reed
Christos_Sax 29.10.2020
I recently switched to this reed from the Legere Signature cut, I have the feeling that the lower notes sound a bit clearer with the new reed.
I also think that the response all over my whole range of notes is pretty even.
Btw, I am using it together with the Vandoren V16 Tenor Sax T 8 mouthpiece.

The case of the reed is definitely an improvement compared to the previous version (Legere Signature cut), really like it.

Size-wise, it is (probably) slightly longer than the Legere Signature cut, but no big difference.

Well worth trying
Kieran E. 18.02.2024
I tried these reeds having seen positive reviews. I was more than surprised to find that they sound very, very similar to cane reeds. There are two main differences in my opinion, they can be played straight from the box without soaking and they don’t soak all the moisture from your mouth! I’ve found I need to go a half stronger than cane so I’m now using strength 3 instead of 2.5. They don’t break as easily as cane but they do break so continue to take care. I do play quite a lot both in rehearsal and performance and I reckon I get about the same amount of playing from one of these reeds as I would from a box of 5 cane. Finally, if, like me, you find the sensation of cane against your tongue very distracting and difficult then these could be the lifesaver you need. I always carry some cane reeds in case of emergency but all my playing now is with plastic. Well worth trying; I’d be surprised if you didn’t like them as much as I.

D
Best reed for me
Danail 11.01.2021
I love the reed. I have used several synthetic reeds. Last one I used is the Signature. It is also a very good reed. What the American cut does better for me versus the Signature is how easier I can play the lower and altissimo tones. It is really effortless playing. The sound is with more body. This is the perfect reed for me.

I fell for the legere hype train and I'm honestly glad. Not too difficult to get a sound out and the response is good. Lovely warm sounding reed.
