More than decent "no amp" pedalboard solution with some shortcomings
kxszander 04.08.2024
I was intrigued by this pedal when I saw a YouTube video about this at the NAMM-show. Poweramp and cab sim/IR plus a doubler, a ton of mono/stereo I/O options, FX-loop galore and eminently usable with headphones.
It is a bit of a peculiar combination of features, but as an "amp substitute" at the end of the FX-chain on your pedalboard, it sounds good: it handles pedals well, the switchable loop at the end of the chain is a nifty touch and the speaker/cab models the pedal has on offer are on point.
Now; the pedal, 9V and reasonable in terms of power consumption, is quite bulky and some of the features/buttons are somewhat hidden under the hood. A good read of the manual is advisable to unlock the full potential.
Moreover, if I were to shoot this thing out against the Strymon Iridium, the DSM & Humboldt Simplifier or the Atomic AmpliFire, I think the Endgame would have difficulty keeping up with the competition, especially in terms of tweaking of the amp sounds, size and options. At a comparable price.
All things considered, I like this pedal – especially the build-quality and look, but I don't think it is sufficiently usable and kick-ass sounding that it will replace the current "no amp" I have on my pedalboard.

Perfect all around end of chain solution

Nice double tracker, great bluetooth functionality for backing tracks, Good quality FX loop. This pedal does alot, but at a high price.
My only gripe with the pedal is the fact that the amp simp isn't the quality I had hoped for, otherwise it's an awesome pedal.
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.

Plus qu'une simulation d'ampliMore than an amp simulation

A hand-made pedal of excellent quality. The use seems simple at first glance but a look at the user manual on the manufacturer's website is essential to understand its possibilities. The pedal has several speaker and preamp simulations, which can also be disabled if you want to use external ones. The simulations are of very good quality. Possibility of mono or stereo input, as well as a stereo effects loop. Stereo jack or XLR output (adjustable output level only on XLR). Excellent quality stereo doubler (no phase problem) with a stereo expander. Possibility of placing the doubler as well as the effects loop before or after the speaker. 5 speaker simulations loaded into the pedal, 2 of which can be modified by loading via USB. A significant negative point in my opinion: no EQ and lack of treble and brilliance in all the simulations. Problem solved for me with a simple 6-band MXR EQ. Overall it remains an excellent pedal. Read the manufacturer's manual carefully, which is easy to access, to understand its potential.
