Basic but secure
I took a gamble on these stands as the price made me cautious particularly when buying for a church where there is little control on how equipment is treated by those who don't understand how much care is required if you want things to last a while! Previous stands have been damaged through improper adjustment and breakdown.
Firstly, I have been pleasantly surprised with the stability of the stand particularly when the boom is extended over a keyboard to a sitting keyboard player/vocalist. There is also the risk of droop when used like this but as yet the boom has been secure when extended.
In the case of standing vocalists or musicians (eg. flute), the stand has been effective and easily adjustable for height, all adjustments have proved to be secure.
All adjustment screws have proved to be easy to use yet remain tight.
All told, the stand has proved to be good value for money and I would not hesitate to buy this again when I look to increase the number of vocalists in the band.
Service and delivery from Thomann was good with the items well packaged (with other items) and of course, the site remains my "go to" website for anything audio visual.

Surprising quality
Works well, very minimal amount of plastic. VERY usable, user friendly and it handles being taken apart and put back together every day very well.
I thought a mic stand at this price would be the type you cant really take apart and put back together too often...
But I was wrong!
Fantastic mic stand. works great!

Very light
Definately for personal use for your own mic.
First thing that broke was the knob that tightens the boom. Got it back from a smaller rent and i think the client just turned it a lil too much. The knob is still turning, but the plastic had a crack in it.
Secondly it bent really easy. It was in a bag, that got things put onto it. After a few times i did notice the boom to be bent a little. Nothing much, but definately something you notice.

Good value, although central nut hard to turn
For the price, this is a good value for money mic stand. I haven´t had to perform repairs on it as with practically every other mic stand I´ve owned within this price range. My only criticism is that the central nut which keeps the arm at its angle is somewhat stiff. Once you do turn it, it does a good job of keeping the arm still, and I´ve used it when home recording attached to a Røde NT-1, but it´s usual job is holding up my SM58 at solo acoustic guitar/voice gigs. The stand is to my right at a 90 degree angle holding the 58, and it stays up for a full 3 hour gig.
I have also used it at hundreds of rock gigs it´s not broken on me yet!

These are great stands for the price, very sturdy and well built.
I've bought cheap mic stands before and they've not been for purpose but these ones are very good.
Unlike the cheap stands I've used in the past these cope well with heavier mics such as large diaphragm condensers.

Good, very good.
To be honest this is my most used stand. All the fixings are well made and work properly. The lightweight base means they're easier to carry but they are less stable than the original K&M boom stand so not the best for things like drum overheads.

Good solid stand
For the price this is the best budget stand you can buy.
K&M has the name in the stand industry and that is not for nothing.
It feels solid and good build. It's quality.
Tip for people who will use any stand: be sure to not be too lazy to screw the buttons loose before moving it, that cause the problem that the stand will move while it's locked...
Again, very happy with the fast sending and service of Thomann!
