I went for this one after having bought 16280; I needed support for a HB35-Plus and this one looked sturdy, thick and appropriate for a Gibson-style headstock. After opening the box, the first thing I noticed is there are no isntructions, which were present in 16280's box. The box does not include screws or tools, but at least it tells you which ones to use. After examining the mechanism and measuring the headstock on the HB35-Plus, it looks like I will be using 16280 for the HB, and this one for my Strat. All in all, 16280 looks thinner and maybe smaller, but it is really good (verified on one electric and one acoustic guitar). I hope the quality on this one is the same. On a few other things, it has yet to hit puberty.

Perfect - Very strong steel hook construction - Will not bend or break.
JontyFrancis 27.05.2020
This hook is perfect - It's made with strong steel construction - It will not bend or break. I feel very confident storing my expensive guitars and basses on this hanger.
It's not only strong but also this K&M 16250 is very reasonably priced. It's as strong as hangers that cost twice as much. I bought 7 and they look amazing on my wall and they are solid. The guitars hang 4.5cm - 7cm away from the wall depending on exactly where you place the guitar on the hanger.
It comes without screws and wall fixings - so you need to buy those separately from a hardware store according to what kind of wall you have.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

Great holder....but also buy felt pads
Anonymous 01.04.2014
Most of my guitars, both acoustic and electric, hang onto the wall with either as
K&M 16280 Guitar Holder or this K&M 16250 Guitar Holder,
This one is slightly bigger then the 16280. And as such i prefer this one
for my acoustics.
The guitar is hanged by his head stock resting on the holder. Once hanged....the guitar is 0.5 - 1 cm off the wall.
But by taking the guitar off the hanger and putting it back, your guitar can hit it's body against the wall leaving some scratch marks on the back of your guitar.
As i have plaster texture on my walls, the back of one of my acoustics was a little scratched. I did not know it was happening after a while....but now i put little felt pads on the wall where the guitars body is able contact the wall.
Otherwise...these are really sturdy holders....i am not afraid....that my guitars will drop off the walls....even in an earth quake.

They are good but

The only thing I have to say is that telecasters and Stratocaster fit quite awkwardly on these, I went for the Hercules more expensive option for these fender instruments. All other more symmetrical headstocks like les Pauls are perfect on these.
