I give only 1 star as the product is rated for 13-15mm diamater rods. I tried to install it on the 15mm rod that is standard for K&M stands (I have two different types - recent models), but it was very hard to clip it on the rod. Clamping it in 15mm rod causes the pencil claws getting quite close and making it hard to stick the pencil in. When I wanted to take the pencil out, it actually came with the pencil holder, so putting it back was again quite a pain.
I would rate the holder for rods ranging from 13-14mm.
For 15mm rod it is rather usless.
I got a magnet ring for pencils in parallel and finding it way more useful and easier to use - Art of Music Magnet Pencil Holder.

Practical pencil holder for the orchestra
Twlnhorn 13.08.2019
Any orchestra musician knows the struggle of forgotten pencils in case far away from your chair (or for me, at home on the music stand...). This one allows you to carry your pencil on your instrument (my french horn) and to be able to take notes of every useful (or not... - you're obviously an orchestra musician so you understand :P ) things a conductor may say during a rehearsal. It also lasts for a long time, and doesn't break!
A life saver for me :)
